CHARLES J. BETZLER, 59, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died April 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his companion, Barbara Krystosiak; two daughters, Jenivieve Schultz and Patria Williams, both of Mechanicsville, Va.; three brothers, William C. III of the Forked River section of Lacey and Anthony J. and John J., both of the Parlin section of Sayreville; and six grandchildren. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Cremation was private.

RITA C. DOOLING BRENT, 71, of South Amboy died April 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1996, she was employed as a teacher at James A. McDivitt School, Old Bridge. Surviving are three daughters, Jamie C. Smith of Valencia, Pa., Karen H. Brent of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Amy S. Moore of Brookfield, Wis.; her mother, Margaret Baker Dooling of South Amboy; and seven grandchildren. Services were arranged by Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in the church cemetery.

JOHN M. DOYLE, 44, of South Amboy died April 21 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His father, Donald "Whitey" Doyle, died in 1994. Surviving are his wife, Gail Davis Doyle; two sons, Jason and Lorin Davis; and a daughter, Kristy Lynn Doyle, all of Stewardsville; his mother, Beatrice "Gerri" Roman Doyle of South Amboy; a sister, Susan Doyle of South Amboy; his paternal grandmother, Ingrid Ladjack of Orlando, Fla; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy; followed by a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.

PETER FEDOR, 77, of Sayreville died April 28 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Marie Creamer Fedor; three sons, Robert of Hillsboro, Gary of Yardley, Pa., and Kenneth of Sayreville; a brother, Steven Fedor of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Mary Baczkowski, Helen Kerchner and Eleanor Kwasnofski, all of Perth Amboy; and four grandchildren. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sayreville Emergency Squad, Washington Road, Parlin 08859.

ROBERT K. FISCHER, 33, of Freehold, died April 28 at Jersey City Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident April 17 in Kearny. Born in New Brunswick, he had resided in East Brunswick before moving to Freehold two years ago. Mr. Fischer was employed as a technician for EnviroSafe Pest Control, Perrineville section of Millstone Township, and had previously been employed as an installer for EZ Autoglass, Edison, for two years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Spotswood. Surviving are his wife of six years, Lisa (Perez) Fischer; twin sons, Tyler and Cory, and a daughter, Jessica, all at home; his parents, William and Doris Conklin Fischer, of East Brunswick; a brother, William Jr., of East Brunswick; two sisters, Debra Keil, of South River, and Donna Baron, of East Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on May 3 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Spotswood, followed by interment at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a scholarship fund for Mr. Fischer’s children.

EDWARD J. MOLLOY, 92, of Sayreville died at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division, on April 23. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Agnes Brennan Molloy; two daughters, Eileen Eldred of South Amboy and Sister Mary Molloy of East Northport, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services were held at The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, followed by a Mass at St. Bernadette Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in New Cavalry Cemetery, Sayreville. Donations may be made to the Morgan First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 296, South Amboy, NJ 08879.

 

MARY F. FRANCK COX, 64, of South Amboy, died April 22 at home. Her husband, Harold L. Cox, died in 1979 and her son, Thomas H. Cox, died in 1959. Surviving are two sons, Lawrence of Raleigh, N.C., and Matthew of Quakertown, Pa.; a daughter, Deborah A. Bigdely of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Donald A. Franck of Silver Spring, Md.; and five grandchildren. Services were held at The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, with a Mass at St. Mary’s RC Church, also South Amboy. Interment was in Forest Green Cemetery, the Morganville section of Marlboro Township.

JOSEPH S. BRZOZOWSKI, 76, of East Brunswick, died April 25 at home. He was born in Sayreville and moved to East Brunswick two years ago. His wife, Viola Zalewski, died in 1996. Surviving are four sons, Frank of Old Bridge, Chester of South River, Edward of East Brunswick and Stanley of Howell; five sisters, Rose Wolski and Eleanor Zalewski of Sayreville, Pearl Markowski, Joan Olszewski and Mary Wolynec of South River; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, followed by a Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, also Sayreville. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
