Rock, mineral program
planned at Cheesequake

A "The Earth Below" program will begin at 1 p.m. on July 30 at the Cheesequake State Park Interpretive Center, 300 Gordon Road, Old Bridge. Participants will learn about the fossils, rocks and minerals that provide clues to Cheesequake’s history. The program, which will include a discussion on the amber located in the park’s vicinity, is open to ages 9 and up. For more information, call James Faczak at (732) 566-3208.

 

Vendors are sought for

flea market, craft show

Vendors are sought for a Sept. 30 flea market and an Oct. 21 craft show sponsored by St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, 30 Jackson St., South River. Table rental fee is $20, two for $30. All proceeds will aid in the restoration of the church. For more information and to reserve, call (732) 651-0799.

Antique, collectible

show vendors sought

Vendors are sought for the Sept. 10 Antique and Collectible Show sponsored by the Old Bridge Department of Parks, Recreation and Social Services. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Bridge Arena, Route 516 and Cottrell Road. Table rental fee is $10, three for $25; floor space rental, $25. Reservation deadline is Sept. 1. Baha’i Faith sets talk,

slide show at library

The Baha’i Faith of East Brunswick will present a discussion and slide presentation titled "Pilgrimage to the Holy Land" at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Kit’s Kaboodle will present Cinderella Storyland at 7 p.m. on Aug. 9 at the Monroe Township Library, 4 Municipal Plaza. Children ages 4 and up and their families are invited to the performance, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Monroe Township Library.
