Arrest tally up to four
By sue m. morgan

OLD BRIDGE — Two more suspects, one of whom was reported to be a member of the Pagans motorcycle gang, have been arrested and charged in connection with a double-stabbing that took place in the early hours of June 22 in the parking lot of the After Dark nightclub.

A total of four suspects have been arrested to date in the incident, the first of two reports of violence in less than a month at the go-go bar at Route 35 and Greenwood Avenue in Laurence Harbor.

Late Tuesday night, township police detectives arrested Dominick Gallucci, 40, of Somerset and charged him with attempted murder, riot and several weapons violations, according to Old Bridge Police Lt. Jack Sweeney.

An unidentified fourth man has also been arrested due to the altercation, Sweeney said. At press time, Sweeney did not have the suspect’s name, age or address.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the case, and more arrests could still be made, Sweeney said.

Police apprehended Gallucci, said to be a Pagans motorcycle club member, in Franklin Township, Somerset County, Sweeney said. Township police had issued a warrant for his arrest following reports that he brandished a shotgun and threatened a witness to the After Dark altercation, which occurred at 2:31 a.m. on June 22.

Both Gallucci and the unidentified suspect were being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center, North Brunswick, pending bail, Sweeney said.

On July 2, police arrested Frank DiChristino 26, of Mahwah, Bergen County, and charged him with attempted murder, riot and weapons offenses, Sweeney said.

A week later, on July 9, police arrested John O’Connell, 40, of Old Bridge’s Laurence Harbor section, at home and charged him with the same offenses. O’Connell works as an inspector with the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority (OBMUA), Sweeney said.

DiChristino and O’Connell, described as members of the Bandanas motorcycle club, are accused of stabbing James Bose, 25, and Louis Foster, 23, both of Long Branch, after the pair were ejected from the nightclub by a bouncer. Police reports indicate that Foster had argued with a woman formerly employed as a bartender at the club before he and Bose were ordered to leave.

After they were ejected, Foster was physically confronted in the parking lot by approximately eight males, police reports indicate. When Bose tried to assist Foster, both men were reportedly charged at and stabbed by O’Donnell and DiChristino.

According to police reports, Foster sustained a 9-inch wound in his mid-section, and Bose received a 1-inch cut in the right side of his lower back. Both victims were treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, police reports state.

A second incident in the nightclub’s parking lot on Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Charlie Rogers, 26, of Aberdeen, and his female companion, Tayeshia Guarriello, 31, of Edgewater, Bergen County. That incident, in which at least five police officers reported being physically threatened by Rogers and one officer was injured, remains under investigation.
