The Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, has scheduled several upcoming events.

A meeting of the Savvy Seniors discussion group is set for 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 8. The group usually meets on the second Tuesday of every month in the library’s large meeting room to discuss topics including books, current events, hobbies, television, health and nutrition. Lunch dates and trips to Broadway shows, movies, etc., are scheduled throughout the year.

The library’s new crafting club will hold its next meeting at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19. Individuals of all ages, abilities and interests are sought.

The Bridge of St. Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder will be the topic at the Book Discussion Group of Old Bridge meeting set for 7:30-8:45 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the library conference room. All book lovers are welcome. Copies of the book will be available at the library circulation desk.

The Coffeehouse Board Game Club of Old Bridge will meet at noon on Oct. 26 in the library art gallery. The club concentrates on classic board games, but community members are welcome to bring in a wide variety of games for everyone to try. The library asks that participants bring their own games, if possible.

A meeting of the library’s new gardening club is set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 30. Participants will trade secrets and tips, plan visits to gardening centers and more.
