More money won’t fix schools; state should try vouchers

It was with great interest that I read your article titled "Experts Discuss Ideas for Change at Summit" (Suburban, Feb. 27). Every idea seemed geared toward getting more money for the schools via taxes of one sort or another.

What the educational bureaucrats don’t recognize but the politicians have obviously caught on to is that the public is getting tired of hearing: "We need more money."

Might I suggest an idea that the so-called experts missed, but which would improve the game of the teachers and the administrators while not costing the New Jersey taxpayer another cent? School vouchers.
