Lois Phoebe Schwartzman

Mrs. Schwartzman, 66, of Freehold Township died Nov. 3 at her daughter’s home in Howell. Surviving are her husband, Edwin Schwartzman; five daughters, Miriam Smith of Monroe, Wash., Susan Lyon of Ortonville, Mich., Judith Thacke of Howell, Anne Skibniewski of Old Bridge and Ruth Cook of Mount Holly; her mother, Ida Zuckerman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Ellen Zuckerman, also of Brooklyn; and 11 grandchildren. Services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, with Rabbi Michael Klein officiating. Interment followed in Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Donald E. Melhorn

Mr. Melhorn, 74, of Sayreville died Oct. 28 at home. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Nagle Melhorn; two sons, Donald of South Amboy and Ronald of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; two brothers, James Melhorn of Monroe and Robert Melhorn of Gallitzen, Pa.; two sisters, June Bruce of Gallitzen and Patricia Djelski of Glenburnie, Md.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Painchaud, 84, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Nov. 2 at home. Her husband, Albert L. Painchaud, died in 1995. Surviving are a daughter, Maureen Gonzales of Lakewood; two sons, Paul Painchaud of Brick and Thomas Painchaud of the Clarksburg section of Millstone; two sisters, Muriel Clark of Hoboken and Frances Barrett of Brick; a brother, William Byrnes of Eulis, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla Meyer of Brick and Lorraine Painchaud of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Nov. 6 at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Dorothy Ignatowski Cross

Mrs. Cross, 71, of the Melrose section of Sayreville died Oct. 31 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Andrew Cross; a son, Andrew Cross Jr. of Sayreville; a brother, Frank Ignatowski of Connecticut; three grandchildren; and a great-grand­daughter. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.Dr. Fouad George Zaki

Dr. Zaki died Oct. 31 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a senior re­search leader in the pathology department at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Princeton, and as adjunct clinical professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark. An expert in the field of hepatol­ogy, he was the recipient of several re­search grants from the National Institutes of Health, the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Iwinski Zaki; a son, Mark of Los Angeles; a step­daughter, Mary Kubat of Zumbrota, Minn.; a brother, Samir of Boston; and a grand­daughter. Services were held at St. Mary’s Coptic Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Coptic Church Building Fund, P.O. Raymond C. Presnal

Mr. Presnal, 70, of South River, for­merly of Sayreville, died Oct. 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Carol Forsythe Presnal; a daughter, Lorraine Ongaro of South Amboy; two sons, Gregory E. of Tenafly and Eric R. of South River; a sister, Roma Bartos of Manalapan; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Walter Joseph Ksiazak

Mr. Ksiazak, 58, of Sayreville, formerly of South River, died Nov. 2 at home. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was employed as a chemical operator with E.I. DuPont Photo Products Division, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Jackubowski Ksiazak; a son, Walter M. Ksiazak of East Brunswick; a daughter, Lisa Marie Wojtowicz of Glen Gardner; a sister, Joanne Ward of Piscataway; a brother, Adam Ksiazak of Franklin Township; and two granddaughters. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Russell J. Tepper Sr.

Mr. Tepper, 79, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., formerly of Spotswood, died Oct. 24 at his son’s home in Howell. Surviving are his wife, Audrey Templeton Tepper; three sons, Russell Tepper of Flanders section of Mount Olive, William Tepper of Catskill, N.Y., and Steven Tepper of Howell; a daughter, Patricia Libonati of Jamesburg; and 11 grandchildren. Mary Smiglewski

Mrs. Smiglewski, 94, of South River died Nov. 1 in Summerhill Care Center, Old Bridge. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a seam­stress with Segal Dress Co., South River. Surviving are two sisters, Viola Crane of South River and Lora Cepparulo of Ortley Beach; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Patricia Super Rotella

Mrs. Rotella, 59, of Spotswood died Oct. 27 in Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth. Surviving are a son, Domenick Rotella of Carteret; her mother, Margaret Super of Spotswood; a brother, Stephen Super, and a sister, Sandy Waydo, both of Spotswood; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Camille J. Cywinski Orehostky

Mrs. Orehostky, 84, of East Brunswick, formerly of Spotswood and the Toms River section of Dover, died Oct. 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1970, she was the office manager for Gonier Insurance Agency, South River, where she worked for 20 years. Her husband, John, died in 1987. Surviving are two sons, John of East Brunswick and Gerald of Toms River; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchil­dren. A Mass was offered at Holy Trinity Church, Helmetta. Robert A. Stults

Mr. Stults, 75, of Milltown died Oct. 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his re­tirement in 1991, he was a bulk steel pur­chasing agent with Brown Boveri, North Brunswick, where he worked for 20 years. His first wife, Madeline Teneralli Stults, died in 1980, and his second wife, Elizabeth Robillard Stults, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Susan E. Rivera of Trenton; his fiancée; and two grandchil­dren; Services were held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Kenneth Dias

Mr. Dias, 73, of Monroe, formerly of Jamesburg, died Oct. 27 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Surviving are two brothers, Robert Dias of Woodbridge and Lester Dias of Avon; two sisters, Annette Wynkoop of Lakewood and Delores Wanko of Edison; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
