Councilman grateful for residents’ support

This is an open letter to the residents of Old Bridge. I would like to personally thank you for your faith, trust and support this past electoral season. I’m truly honored and humbled by the support of Democrats, Republicans and independents who elected me to a third term to represent them and their families in Old Bridge.

Soon we will be ringing in the new year, and as I look back on the past four years, I consider your continued confidence certainly one of the highest compliments I have received. As I’ve said many times, Old Bridge is a $42-million corporation, and, you, the taxpayers, are our shareholders.

I pledge to continue to work tirelessly over the next four years advocating the public interest, bringing more of a social balance between community and government, and continuing to make Old Bridge one of the premier communities in the state of New Jersey.

I offer special tribute to my family, running mates, the Democratic County Committee and numerous other individuals who rendered assistance during this campaign. Without the extraordinary efforts of all of you, this campaign would not have been possible.

I wish for you all good times in the coming year. May you and your families enjoy a healthy and blessed 2004.

Dennis Maher
