Firemen will speak to women mystery writers

Local firemen will be guest speakers at the Sisters in Crime-Central Jersey meeting set for 11 a.m. on Aug. 28 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Symmes Drive, Manalapan.

The presentation, "Fire, Fire, Put Out the Fire!," will focus on arson, fire prevention, putting out fires and firefighting apparatus. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The writers’ critique portion of the meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. Writers may bring five copies of three pages of their writing for review.

Guests are welcome.

Sisters in Crime-Central Jersey is an organization dedicated to promoting women in the field of mystery writing. Members include published mystery authors, readers, new writers, librarians and fans. The group holds monthly meetings at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Manalapan.
