Obituaries Mrs. Loeffler, 61, of Eatontown died Sept. 25 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch, following a battle with cancer. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y. Mrs. Loeffler was a homemaker. Prior to that, she taught fourth grade for seven years at St. Jerome School, West Long Branch, where she was a past vice president of the PTA. She was a communicant of St. Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church, where she was treasurer of the Rosary Altar Society. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard W. Loeffler; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard F. and Laura Loeffler of Old Bridge, and Christopher J. Loeffler of New York City; and two daughters and one son-in-law, Suzanne M. Loeffler of Hoboken, and Josette M. and Edward Recchia of West Long Branch. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Jerome’s Church. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery Mausoleum, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jerome School, 250 Wall St., West Long Branch 07764. Vilmar E. Costa Mr. Costa, 19, died Sept. 27 as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A 2002 graduate of South River High School, he was a student at DeVry University, North Brunswick. He was employed for the past three years at International House of Pancakes (IHOP), Marlboro, and prior to that, he worked at IHOP, East Brunswick. Surviving are his parents, Vilmar and Shirley Lopez Costa, with whom he lived; two sisters, Maria Costa and Brenda Costa, both of South River; a nephew, Christopher Costa of South River; his maternal grandparents, Eduardo and Nelly Magas of the Toms River section of Dover; his paternal grandmother, Maria Costa, in South America; an uncle, Eduardo Lopez of Forest Hills, Md.; and an aunt, Imara Lopez of South River. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Cremation was private.William J. Anderson Jr. Mr. Anderson, 36, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Sept. 28 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, N.Y., as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His mother, Dolores E. Anderson, died 1999. Surviving are his father, William J. Anderson Sr. of Laurence Harbor; two sisters, Alicia Tomaszewski of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Denise Imundo of Spotswood; and three nieces. A Mass is planned for 11 a.m. on Oct. 2 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Cislo Mr. Cislo, 73, of East Brunswick, formerly of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died Sept. 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He worked as a bartender for many years at Hill Lanes, Old Bridge. Surviving are a son, Michael Cislo of South Amboy; three daughters, Theresa Ciciora of Atlantic Beach, Fla., Kim Marie Cislo of South Amboy and Jennifer Cislo of Morgan; his companion, Terri Staggard of East Brunswick; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Joseph E. Patton Mr. Patton, 72, of Old Bridge died Sept. 29 in Care One, East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Antoinette Patton; two sons, Joseph Patton of Freehold and Michael Treeon of Ohio; two daughters, Marie Stump of West Virginia and Theresa Crenshaw of Plainsboro; four brothers, Larry of Pennsylvania, Eugene of Tresckow, Pa., and Robert and Charles, both of Warminster, Pa.; five granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick. Samuel Naar, Ph.D. Dr. Naar, 80, of Monroe died Sept. 23 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was retired from the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, where he had served as an elementary school principal for many years, first at John F. Kennedy School, Raritan, and later at Finderne School, Finderne section of Bridgewater. Surviving are his wife, Marion Naar; two daughters, Susan Gould of Plainsboro and Iris Grossman of Monroe; a sister, Anna Naar of Highland Park; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Segal Mr. Segal, 73, of Monroe, formerly of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died Sept. 26 in St. Francis Hospital, Trenton. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Fineman Segal. Surviving are his wife, Eileen Wolk Segal; two sons, Howard of Wyoming and Andrew of Edison; three stepchildren, Gary Spector of Hoboken, Barbara Drew of Monroe and Tina Rear of Flagtown, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Lillian Leise Staniszewski Mrs. Staniszewski, 74, of the Robbinsville section of Washington Township, formerly of New York City and Florida, died Sept. 29 in Cranbury Care Center, Monroe. Surviving are two sons, Kevin O’Connor of Hamilton and Patrick O’Connor of Monroe; a daughter, Eileen Spanicciati of Robbinsville; two brothers, Leo Leise of Maine and William Leise of Florida; a sister, Edna Christie of Florida; and six grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Surviving are her husband, Richard Dinan; her parents, Patricia and Joseph Criscuolo of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a brother, Joseph Criscuolo of Parlin; a sister, Linda Maxwell of Old Bridge; and many nieces and nephews. Tolentino Farparan Mrs. Farparan, 69, of Keyport, formerly of Old Bridge, died Sept. 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Her husband, Raymond Farparan, died in 1997. Surviving are six sons, Raymond Farparan of Union Beach, Anthony and Mark Farparan, both of Old Bridge, Vincent Farparan of Red Bank and Albert and Matthew Farparan, both of Keyport; two daughters, Teresa Kolbinskie of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Alicia Preyer of Brick; a brother, James Tolentino of Keansburg; a sister, Claire Trogani of Montville; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Oct. 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, 237 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 3 at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Julius J. Seman Mr. Seman, 86, of Sayreville died Sept. 23 at home. Surviving are his wife, Helen Baczenski Seman; a son, Robert of Sayreville; a daughter, Monica Townsend of South Amboy; a sister, Grace Chincharick of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; three granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Henry H. Weygant Mr. Weygant, 70, of Old Bridge died Sept. 22 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A granddaughter, Julia K. Carrano, died in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Mary Redding Weygant; a son, Henry Jr. of the Toms River section of Dover; two daughters, Ruth Carrano of the Forked River section of Lacey and Cindy Weygant of Gainesville, Fla.; a brother, James of New York; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. |
