Obituaries Mr. Brink, 74, died Nov. 7 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was a distribution manager for Sunshine Biscuits, Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Sielewicki Brink; a son, David Brink of Wayne; two daughters, Katy Geiger of New Port Richey, Fla., and Barbara Brink of Middleton, Mass., two sisters, Louise Clover of Akron, Ohio, and Frances Davis of Decatur, Ill.; and three grandchildren. Doyle Mrs. Doyle, 61, of the Toms River section of Dover, formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 8 in Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Surviving are her husband, Athens Schiadaresis; two sons, Troy of Toms River and Jason of Sayreville; and three sisters, Patricia Edmonds of Newbern, N.C., Carol Malyar of Edison and Kathleen Hempel of Toms River. Demetrios Zacharatos Mr. Zacharatos, 86, of Edison died Nov. 6 in Woodlands Terrace Nursing Home, Hernando, Fla. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he was a self-employed painter. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Poulos Zacharatos; a son, Basilis Zacharatos of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; three daughters, Stavroula Zacharias of Evia, Greece, Maria Zacharatos of Monroe and Theodora Zacharatos of Old Bridge; a brother, Spyros Zacharatos of New Port Richie, Fla.; four sisters, Eleni Birbilis, Maria Agelatos and Milanthi Tsakiris, all of Athens, Greece, and Stamo Stamatelos of Kefallinia, Greece; and two grandchildren. Tice Sr., and Mary Jane Mott of East Brunswick; a daughter, Kayla Tice of Old Bridge; three brothers, Shane Tice and David Tice of Old Bridge and Jesse Tice of Woodbridge; a sister, Melody Hauser of Florida; and his fiancée, Robin Mollema of Old Bridge. Florence Auletta Ms. Auletta, 81, of Corydon, Pa., formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 3 in Lower Bucks County Hospital, Bristol, Pa. Surviving are five sons, Fred Jr., Ken, Richard, Dennis and Russell; two daughters, Judy Rodriguez and Susan Langbein; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. Glenn L. Harding Mr. Harding, 37, of Middletown died Nov. 8 at home. He was predeceased by his father, James Harding. Surviving are his mother, Adeline Scutari Harding of Florida; two sons, Thomas and Daniel Harding, both at home; and a brother, Christopher Harding of Old Bridge. Herrick Mr. Herrick, 69, of Manalapan, formerly of Sayreville and the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Nov. 6 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was employed as a supervisor with the New Jersey Turnpike, New Brunswick, where he worked for 27 years. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Marcinczyk Herrick; five sons, Mark Herrick of Jackson, Steve Herrick of Parlin, and David Herrick, Chris Herrick and Paul Herrick Jr., all of Sayreville; a daughter, Janice Wille of Parlin; a sister, Donna Mulvaney of Atlantic City; and 15 grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, also Sayreville. Marian E. Kerner Mrs. Kerner, 82, of Freehold Township died Nov. 8 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was predeceased by a brother, James Conklin. Surviving are her husband, William J. Kerner; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin L. and Cristina Kerner of East Windsor; three daughters and a son-in-law, Marianne Kerner of Riverdale, N.Y., Ellen Kerner of Freehold Township, and Kimberley and John Richard of Old Bridge; a brother, David Conklin of Byram Township; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, and interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Julia Bartowicz Szot Mrs. Szot, 83, of Sayreville died Nov. 8 at her daughter’s home in Haddonfield. Her husband, Frank L. Szot, died in 2002. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Zaleski of Haddonfield; a son, John T. Szot of Sayreville; a sister, Mildred Kaczmarek of Texas; a close friend, Pearl Zaleski of Sayreville; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery. Walter R. McGill Mr. McGill, 82, of Matawan, formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 9 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Weiss McGill; a son, Barry McGill of Doylestown, Pa.; a daughter, Susan Armellino of Freehold; three sisters, Helen Busby of Levittown, Pa., June McGill of Winter Park, Fla., and Florence Marsh of Ocala, Fla; two stepsons, Robert and Victor Weiss, both of Old Bridge; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was employed for the past 20 years as a custodian for the Sayreville Board of Education. Prior to that, he worked for Thomas and Chadwick Oil Co., Sayreville, and the Sayreville Sewage Department. Surviving are a daughter, Rhonda Marsh of Fall Branch, Tenn.; a son, Steven Blaszka of San Francisco; three brothers, Chester of New Brunswick, Richard of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Anthony of Jackson; three sisters, Florence Wingerter of Sayreville, Rose Szkodny of East Brunswick and Theresa Villanti of Old Bridge; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private. Wei-Choe "Patrick" Tang Mr. Tang, 54, of East Brunswick died Oct. 19 in St. Peter’s University Hospital. He was a chemical engineer/corporate project engineer for International Flavors and Fragrances Inc., Union Beach, for 18 years. Surviving are his wife, Fei-Li "Phyllis" Chien Tang; a son, Edward Chun-I Tang of New York City; a daughter, Emily Chun-Ming Tang of East Brunswick; a brother, Yao-Choe Tang; a sister, Yi Tang; and six nieces and two nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Jeanette R. Sternberg Merle Mrs. Merle, 76, of East Brunswick died Nov. 6 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Alvin; a son, Richard Merle of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Lisa Ellen Schneider of Millwood, N.Y.; two brothers, Ralph Sternberg of South Miami, Fla., and Albert Sternberg of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Marion Demby of Jersey City and Dorothy Levine of Delray Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester J. Leonowicz, and by a grandson, Joseph Patrick Torre. Surviving are three daughters, Joanna L. Martinez of Woodbridge, Conn., Diane L. Torre of Milltown and Janice K. Vogel of Richboro, Pa.; a sister, Wanda Jastrebski of South River; two brothers, Stanley Jastrebski of East Brunswick and Frank Jastrebski of Perth Amboy; nine grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; and a goddaughter, Marian Mehalick of Bayville. Mary Opalewski Brylinski Mrs. Brylinski, 94, of South River died Nov. 7 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Stanley P. Brylinski, died in 1992, and a son, Stanley R. Brylinski, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Alexander of South River; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Mary C. Gomes Campos Mrs. Campos, 79, died Nov. 4 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, David J. Campos; a son, David Campos Jr. of South River; two daughters, Linda Kane of South River and Christine Richards of Parishville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Philip Armour Mr. Armour, 83, of Jackson, formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 10 in Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. His wife, Marion Randolph Armour, died in 2000. Surviving are two sons, Gary Armour of Barnegat and Philip Armour Jr. of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; two daughters, Sharyn Meyer of Jackson and Denise Feret of the Parlin section of Sayreville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Visitation is set for 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Nov. 14 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
