Francis Xavier Meyers

Mr. Meyers, 70, of East Brunswick died Jan. 8 at home. Surviving are his wife, Claire Mersereau Meyers; a son, Michael Meyers of East Brunswick; two daughters, Patricia Maine and Kathleen Graciano, both of Brick; his mother, Louise Meyers; and eight grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Stella Rosinski Fallon

Mrs. Fallon, 74, of New Freedom, Pa., formerly of Sayreville, died Jan. 4 at home. Her husband, Douglas J. Fallon, died in 1992. Surviving are four daughters, Barbara Solasky of Franklin, Susanne Halpin of Manalapan, Deborah Humphfey of South Amboy and Frances Stell of Perth Amboy; two sons, Douglas P. of the Somerset section of Franklin and John S. of New Freedom; four brothers, Felix Rosinski and Stephen Rosinski, both of Florida, Adam Rosinski of Sayreville and Augustine Rosinski of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Victoria Bright and Fran Balka, both of Sayreville; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was of­fered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.

June Sarah Belanger Fischer

Mrs. Fischer, 74, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Jan. 11 in Victoria House, Matawan. Her husband, Fredrick Norman Fischer, died in 2003, and a daughter, Norma Jeanne Fischer, died in 1998. She was a hospice volunteer at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge and Perth Amboy, and served as treasurer of the pro­gram’s executive board, worked in the of­fice and visited patients at home. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Townsend of Spotswood; a grandson, Shawn Eugene Townsend of Okeechobee, Fla.; and two great-grandsons. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, South Amboy.

Wendy M. Hart

Ms. Hart, 43, of Old Bridge died Jan. 6 at home. Surviving are her parents, Donald W. Hart of Cranford and Sally Salaky Hart of Florida; her life partner, John Bowers, at home; a son, Anthony Bowers, also at home; two sisters, Brenda Hart of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge and Sally Smith of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Donald J. Hart of Old Bridge and Blake Hart of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A blessing was held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. John P. "Jack" Hurley

Mr. Hurley, 72, of East Brunswick died Jan. 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Goodine Hurley; a daughter, Kathleen Nolan of Monroe; five sons, Patrick Hurley of Sayreville, Michael Hurley of Cedar Grove, John Hurley of East Brunswick, James Hurley of Colts Neck and Gregory Hurley of New York City; two brothers, Alfred of Denton, Texas, and William of Manhasset, N.Y.; his mother-in-law, Mary Goodine of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Joan Nardo of the Toms River section of Dover; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Frank S. Zrebiec

Mr. Zrebiec, 92, of Sayreville died Jan. 11 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1969, he was employed for 40 years at Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville, where he last worked as area supervisor. His wife, Mary Radzyniak Zrebiec, died in 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Alice Zrebiec Palmer of Santa Fe, N.M.; a sister, Martha Wisniewski of South Amboy; a brother, Louis Zrebiec of South Amboy; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

William M. Begley Sr.

Mr. Begley, 74, of Spotswood, formerly of Old Bridge, died Jan. 5 at home. Surviving are his wife, Edna Coulillard Begley; a son, William M. Jr. of Holmdel; three daughters, Nancy Ann Duran of Medford, N.Y., Betty of the Bronx, N.Y., and Abby of Old Bridge; a sister, Peggy Monteleone of Staten Island, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Rose SanFilippo Marullo

Mrs. Marullo, 92, of Sayreville died Jan. 7 in Old Bridge Manor. Her husband, Giovanni, died in 1963, and a son, Gaetano, died in 1992. Surviving are a daughter, Connie Casella of New Jersey; a son, Frank of Sayreville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was of­fered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.

Viola Novak Nebus

Mrs. Nebus, 79, of Sayreville died Jan. 7 in Victoria Care Center, Matawan. Her husband, Edmund Nebus, died in 1982. Surviving are a son, Jesse Nebus of South River; a sister, Mary Bodak of Sayreville; a brother, Alfred Novak, also of Sayreville; a grandson, Adam Nebus of Old Bridge; and a great-grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Gladys M. Ryan Plate

Mrs. Plate, 91, of South Amboy died Jan. 10 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Raymond C. Plate, died in 1974. Surviving are seven daughters, Marie Tiffany of Tombstone, Ariz., Dolores Perez of Lakeland, Fla., Marion Barlowski and Carol Plate, both of South Amboy, Gladys Donnelly of the Milford section of Evesham, Camille Olson of Medford and Kathleen Reid of Boonton; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchil­dren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Mildred A. Tortora Whitney

Mrs. Whitney, 65, of Union Beach died Jan. 11 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are her husband, Ronald J. Whitney; a daughter, Lisa Larnaitis of Old Bridge; a brother, George Tortora of Livingston; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Holy Family Church, Keyport. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Barbara Carol Matthews

Mrs. Matthews, 72, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Jan. 12 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Francis W. Matthews; two sons, Gary of Bridgewater and Ron of Allentown; a daughter, Jackie Morris of Metuchen; a brother, Richard Johnston of London; three sisters, Patricia Bee and Shirley Dyczka, both of Blackpool, England, and Marion Jones of Bedminster; and three eight grandchildren. Services are planned for 11 a.m. on Jan. 16 at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Doris Meyer LaMaestra

Mrs. LaMaestra, 84, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Jan. 6 in Monroe Village Nursing Home. Prior to her retirement 19 years ago, she was a math teacher at East Brunswick High School and Our Lady of Lourdes School, Milltown. Her husband, Arnold J. LaMaestra, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, William J. LaMaestra of Monroe; a daughter, Laurie Feickert of Purcellville, Va.; a sister, Regina Cafferty of North Brunswick; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
