Ralph Charles Gottstine Jr.

Mr. Gottsine, 43, died Sept. 14 in Scripps Mercy Hospital, San Diego. He worked as a plumber. Surviving are his mother, Marion Gottstine of Monroe; a sister, Marion Meyers, also of Monroe; and a brother, William Gottstine of Sayreville. A memorial service and dinner are planned for 1-5 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Spotswood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4589, Daniel Road. Information on memorial contributions is available from the deceased’s family.

J. Dudley Hill

Mr. Hill, 81, of Milltown, died Oct. 2 at home. He served as chairman of the management program at the Institute of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. In 1967 he helped establish the university’s Continuing Education Center and was appointed its director. After 33 years of service at Rutgers, he retired as professor emeritus in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Alice Oram Hill; a daughter, Nancy Quattrocchi of the Fords section of Woodbridge; two granddaughters, Amy Ryan and Kathryn Quattrocchi, both of Fords; and two nephews. Services are planned for 11 a.m. on Oct. 7 at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Interment will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund at United Methodist Church, 47 N. Sebastian “Ben” Giarrusso

Mr. Giarrusso, 75, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 25 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was a computer programmer for Costa Ice Cream, Avenel section of Woodbridge. Surviving are his wife, Jean; four daughters, Dawn Duggan of South Amboy, Diana Kotzen and Denise Firelli, both of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, and Deborah, at home; a brother, Anthony of Florida; two sisters, Nancy Sprague of Florida and Diana Slack of Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren. A Mass is was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

Madeline Dalton McCormack

Mrs. McCormack, 86, of Sayreville, died Sept. 26 in Easton Nursing Home and Care Center, Easton, Pa. Her husband, John, died in 1995. Surviving are three sons, John G. of Reno, Nev., William of Sayreville and Dennis of the Stewartsville section of Greenwich; a daughter, Maureen Tilton of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Charles E. Newkirk

Mr. Newkirk, 90, of Old Bridge, died Oct. 2 at home. Surviving are his wife, Berardine Capan Newkirk; two sons, Charles A. Newkirk of Germany and Ralph C. Capan of Michigan; a daughter, Nancy Newkirk of New York City; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holmdel Mausoleum.

Kevin P. McKiernan

Mr. McKiernan, 38, of Edison, formerly of Old Bridge, died Sept. 22 at home. He was an assistant manager at ShopRite of East Brunswick for the past 20 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Ellen Habert McKiernan. Surviving are his father, Robert J. Sr.; two sons, Joseph of South River and Daniel, at home; two brothers, Robert J. Jr. of Old Bridge and Jack of Edison; his companion, Janis Giardano of Edison; and three nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Mabel M. Downey Carroll

Mrs. Carroll, 85, of Hazlet, formerly of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, died Oct. 1 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, William Carroll in 1958. Surviving are two sons, William Carroll of Aberdeen and Robert Carroll of Old Bridge; a daughter, Nancy Robertello of Bernardsville; a sister, Virginia Headden of Cliffwood; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Clement’s Church, Matawan. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Zygmunt Sulikowski

Mr. Sulikowski, 81, of Sayreville, died Sept. 21 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was employed as a machine operator by Algrow Knitting Mills, Milltown, where he worked for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked at Stop Fire, North Brunswick. His wife, Apolonia Nieolswjecka Sulikowski, died in May; a daughter, Theresa Minka, died in 1993; and a son, Zdislow, died in 1996. Surviving are a son, Mitchell Sulikowski of Sayreville, with whom he lived; and three brothers, John of Trenton, Anthony of Ohio and Mitchell of Canada. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Constance Buell Reppert

Mrs. Reppert, 86, of Monroe, died Sept. 21 in Franklin Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. Her husband, George W. Reppert, died in 1991; a son, George W. Reppert II, died in 2001; and a daughter, Karen Ayers, died in September. Surviving are eight grandchildren; Ronald Reppert, Linda Groat and Cynthia Reppert, all of the Belford section of Middletown, John Ayers of Nevada, Susan McKee of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, Nicole Ayers of Clinton, Audrey Belitz of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, and George Reppert III of Old Bridge; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Dennis Swientkowski

Mr. Swientkowski, 54, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 29 at home. Surviving are his wife, Ann Duggan Swientkowski; his mother, Mary Swientkowski of Old Bridge; and a sister, Joan DeVinny of Bomeseen, Vt. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Kathleen McMahon Arnott

Mrs. Arnott, 91, of Sayreville, died Sept. 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was predeceased by her husband, John. Surviving are a daughter, Noreen Traina of Sayreville; three sisters, Ann Pettigrew and Eileen Ryan, both of Ireland, and Sheila Bean of Florida; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.

Gary W. Deel

Mr. Deel, 50, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., died Sept. 23 at home. Surviving are three children, Pfc. Michelle Loraine Vasquez, Erica Caprice Deel and Jason T. Deel, all of Old Bridge; two brothers, Ira E. Deel of Whitehouse, Ohio, and Kevin A. Deel of Delaware, Ohio; a sister, Linda K. Friel of St. Augustine, Fla.; his father, Marlin Deel of Green Cove Springs; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at Broadus-Raines Family Funeral Home, Green Cove Springs. Nicolo Gervera

Mr. Gervera, 75, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 30 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Rita Fitzgerald Gervera, died in 1973. Surviving are two sons, Pasquale Gervera of Old Bridge and Daniel Gervera of Matawan; two daughters, Maria Bertolini and Katherine More, both of the Toms River section of Dover; a brother, Gaetano Gervera of New York; a sister, Marie Pellicci, also of New York; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Janet Share Kelly

Mrs. Kelly, 55, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Sept. 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a former teacher at Our Lady of Victories School, Sayreville, where she worked for six years. She was employed as a substitute teacher with the Old Bridge school system. Surviving are a daughter, Katharine Kelly of Parlin; her mother, Gloria Share of Parlin; two sisters, Michele Salvatore of East Windsor and Jennifer Share-Paulillo of Hamilton; a brother, Michael Share of California; a niece; and her former husband, Allan Kelly of Plainsboro. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
