Obituaries Alex Panko Sr. Mr. Panko, 75, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, died Nov. 17 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was the owner of the Peter Pank Diner, Sayreville, for the past 48 years. Surviving are his wife, Alice Reiser Panko; a son, Alex Panko Jr. of Sayreville; two daughters, Patricia Colaprico of Eatontown and Linda Murphy of Tinton Falls; a brother, John Panko of Matawan; and eight grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia. Entombment was in Good Shepherd Mausoleum, St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia. Joseph Choma Sr. Mr. Choma, 78, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died Nov. 25 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was employed in the facility and services department at Prudential Insurance Co., Iselin section of Woodbridge. Prior to that, he worked for RCA, Avenel section of Woodbridge. Surviving are his wife, Eleanore Kunie Choma; three sons, Joseph Jr. of South Amboy, Richard of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Robert of Brick; a daughter, Jo Anne Dunagan of Williamstown; a brother, Michael Choma of Inverness, Fla.; three sisters, Anna Martoken and Dorothy Simkovich, both of the Fords section of Woodbridge, and Helen Ballek of Port Charlotte; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Edison. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
Susan Lee Wagner Mrs. Wagner, 56, of Keyport, died Nov. 21 at home. She was a head cashier at Home Depot, Hazlet. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Chandler. Surviving are her husband, Robert Wagner; two daughters, Patricia Maurer of Old Bridge and Dawn Wardell of Allentown; two sons, Robert Wagner Jr. of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen and John Wagner of Keyport; three sisters, Ann Suter and Patricia Lee, both of Staten Island, N.Y., and Margaret Sammarco of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three brothers, Edward Lee of Brooklyn, Clarence Lee of Cliffwood Beach and Joseph Crisafi of Sayreville; and seven grandchildren. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
Ann Soldano Mrs. Soldano, 83, of Old Bridge, formerly of Jackson, died Nov. 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was employed as a seamstress with Barbara Dee and Glen Richards Dress Co., South Amboy. Her husband, Lawrence, died in 1995. Surviving are a son, Lawrence of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a daughter, Dorothy Gaydos of Hickory, N.C.; two brothers, Jerry Calcagnile of Valley Stream, N.Y., and Dominick Calcagnile of New York City; a sister, Antoinette Calcagnile of New York City; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
Catherine T. Culhare Guy Mrs. Guy, 82, of Sayreville, died Nov. 26 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Francis Guy, died in 1977, and a daughter, Kathleen Callan, died in 1979. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Spina and Maryellen Monzon of Sayreville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
Gladys J. Spiers Mrs. Spiers, 92, of Beachwood, formerly of South Amboy, died Nov. 27 in Tall Woods Care Center, Bayville. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by E.I. DuPont Photo Products Division, Parlin section of Sayreville, where she worked for 48 years. A son, Robert D. Johnson, died in 1993. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Barbara Johnson of South Toms River; a sister, Catherine Murphy of Parlin; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
Tara L. Clark Jacobson Miss Jacobson, 32, of Eatontown, died Nov. 22 at home as a result of injuries sustained in an accident at home. She was an underwriter for Alliance Title Co., Freehold. Surviving are her mother, Ilse M. Jacobson of Tinton Falls; her father, Thomas D. Clark of Colorado; her stepfather, Peter G. Conley of Tinton Falls; and four brothers, Adam of Greenville, N.C., Steven of California, Marc of Shrewsbury and Daniel of Old Bridge. John E. Frank M. Regnault Mr. Regnault, 91, of Milltown, died Nov. 26 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1978, he owned his own insurance agency in Milltown. Surviving are his wife, Grace Junker Regnault; a son, William Frank Regnault of Olney, Md.; and three granddaughters. Services were held at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Lawrence E. Osterberg Mr. Osterberg, 97, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died Nov. 20 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he was a tractor-trailer driver with White Motor Transportation, South River. His wife, Helen Disbrow Osterberg, died in 1994. Surviving are a son, Lawrence Osterberg Jr. of South River; two grandsons, Lawrence Osterberg III of Helmetta and Todd Osterberg of Belfast, Pa.; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Sophie G. Dobzinski Oslowski Mrs. Oslowski, 88, of Spotswood, died Nov. 29 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Marosy of Ashley Falls, Mass.; a son, John J. Warakomski of the Toms River section of Dover; a sister, Irene Polnasek of Barrington; a grandson, Michael Marosy of East Brunswick; a granddaughter, Melissa Marosy of Orland, Calif.; two great-grandsons; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral liturgy is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 2 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
