Dinner and auction to benefit Cooper fund

The Chris Cooper Scholarship Fund Dinner and Auction will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight on March 11 at the Grand Marquis, Route 9, Old Bridge.

The event will raise money for the scholarship fund, named in honor of Cooper, a 1999 Old Bridge High School (OBHS) graduate who pitched for the high school baseball team and died as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in 2003. Proceeds will help an eligible OBHS boys baseball player and an OBHS girls softball player attend college.
