Ralph J. DeBlasio Jr.

Mr. DeBlasio, 70, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Sept. 17 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was a mechanic for the Sayreville Board of Education for the past seven years. Surviving are his wife, Michelle Becker DeBlasio; three sons, Sgt. 1st Class Ralph D., U.S. Army Special Forces, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Tech. Sgt. John A., U.S. Air Force, of Barnegat, and David C. of Vero Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Delia MacDonald, Mona Schaefer and Anna Budka, all of Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for Sept. 22 (time to be announced) at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.

Robert Harkins

Mr. Harkins, 83, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of South Amboy, died Sept. 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Arose Harkins; two sons, Robert J. and James; six daughters, Nancy Kuehner, Kathleen Rodis, Karen Malyar, Lynn Olah, Joan Malyar and Kimberly Tighe; three brothers, James, George and Eugene Harkins; and 16 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Benjamin Perchuk

Mr. Perchuk, 85, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 6 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. His wife, Mildred, died earlier this year. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Linda of Manalapan, and Jeffrey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Eric and Tara. Graveside services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.

Marie A. Fiore

Mrs. Fiore, 82, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Rocco, died in 1987. Surviving are a son, Ronald, and a daughter, Lauretta Moore, both of Old Bridge; a brother, Thomas Battaglia of Manchester; three sisters, Josephine Luciano of Las Vegas, Nev., Anna DeNigris of Sayreville and Annette DiTommasso of Rutherford; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.

Robert A. Trombetta

Mr. Trombetta, 34, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 14 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his parents, Richard and Dorothy VanName Trombetta of Old Bridge; four sisters, Nancy Seber of Aberdeen, Susan Devine of Laurel, Md., Kathy Ocampo of Easton, Pa., and Amy Trombetta of Old Bridge; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in Holmdel Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Denville, NJ 07834-1365.

Diane J. Vota

Ms. Vota, 39, of Union Beach, formerly of Marlboro and Howell, died Sept. 11 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are her mother, Joan Farrelly-Vota of Union Beach; her father and his wife, Joseph and Christina Vota of Marlboro; two brothers, Michael Vota of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge and Joseph Vota of South Plainfield; one niece and two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Lucille Menges Clark

Mrs. Clark, 88, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 12 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement, she was a guidance counselor at South River High School. Her husband, James Hill Clark, died in 1977. Surviving are three sons, James Hill Clark and Robert William Clark, both of East Brunswick, and John Lacy Clark of New York City; two daughters, Lucille Alice Clark of Mesa, Ariz., and Florence Maud Clark of East Brunswick; three sisters, Florence Calo of Rocky Point, N.Y., Gloria Maibauer of Florida and Joan Leblon of East Brunswick; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Joseph William Cunningham

Mr. Cunningham, 53, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Old Bridge, died Sept. 13 in the U.S. Naval Medical Center, San Diego. Surviving are his parents, Lois and William Cunningham of Old Bridge; a brother, William Cunningham of Staten Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Mary Palmisano of Highlands, Katherine Fallon of Belle Mead and Ann Lazzarotti of Westfield; his girlfriend, Lydia Massey of San Diego; and six nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Memorial contributions for scholarships in Mr. Cunningham’s name may be made to Christian Brothers Academy, c/o Brother Andrew O’Gara, 850 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738.

Patricia Ann Poole Fenlon

Mrs. Fenlon, 75, of Tannersville, Pa., formerly of Old Bridge, died Sept. 5 in Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg, Pa. Her husband, Donald Fenlon, died in 1971. Surviving are a son, William Fenlon of North Carolina; two daughters, Patricia Ann Mitchell of Tannersville and Donna Jane Johnson of Sayreville; a sister, Betty Jane Bryant of the Perrineville section of Millstone; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.

John T. Gardner

Mr. Gardner, 49, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of South River, died Sept. 17 at home His father, John T. Gardner, died in 1993. Surviving are two children, Tracy Gardner of East Windsor and Samuel Gardner of Allentown, Pa.; his mother, Jane Cavanaugh Gardner of Whiting; two brothers, Kevin Gardner and Keith Gardner, both of South River; four sisters, Mary Williscroft of Belmawr, Jane Gardner of South Amboy, Diane Gardner-Peterson of Marina del Ray, Calif., and Linda Gardner, U.S. Navy, of Groton, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. Services are planned for 9 a.m. on Sept. 22 at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Thomas T. Rowe

Mr. Rowe, 62, of Spotswood, died Sept. 12. He was a dispatcher for 25 years with Jersey Concrete, Old Bridge. For the past nine years, he was receiving manager at ShopRite, Spotswood. Surviving are a son, Thomas T. Rowe Jr., of Spotswood; a daughter, Catherine Gelman of Helmetta; three brothers, Donald Rowe of South Brunswick, Anthony Rowe of Levittown, Pa., and Lawrence Rowe of Endwell, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Ali Gelman and Jenni Gelman; his best friend, Patricia Schiessl of South River; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 18 South St., Spotswood, NJ 08884.

Matthew J. Prusik

Mr. Prusik, 73, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died Sept. 13 in Madison Center, Matawan, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Jan. 1. A teacher of middle school, high school and college biology and life sciences, he retried in 1995 from East Brunswick Public Schools after 33 years of service. He served as chairman of the Sayreville Shade Tree Commission from 1969-70. Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Donnelly Prusik; two sons, Matthew Jr. of Sayreville and Joseph of Fanwood; a sister, Florence Kroeger of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a brother, Charles of East Syracuse, N.Y.; a stepsister, Sally Dlugozimski; a stepbrother, Edward Uscenski; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private.
