Girl Scouts to present International Festival

Sayreville Girl Scouts will hold its annual International Festival from noon to 3 p.m. on March 25 in the cafeteria at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, 221 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville.

The Scouts will represent approximately 18 countries through displays of scenery, maps and fashions and a sampling of music, crafts, food and entertainment.

The public is invited. Admission is $2 per person. The Scouts are accepting donations of new men's winter hats for U.S. soldiers serving overseas.

Alborada Dance plans Gala and Fundraiser

The Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre will hold its second annual Gala and Fundraiser from 5:30-10:30 p.m. on March 26 at the Spain Inn, 1707 W. Seventh St., Piscataway.

The evening will feature a Spanish tapas dinner, dessert, coffee and/or tea, soft drinks, sangria, door prizes and more. Participants will dance to the music of Donny Pesce.

Principal dancers from Alborada and guest artists Virginia Kelly and Dario DaSilva will perform.

Honoree will be Maria Naumik, executive director, Monroe Township Arts Commission.

Tickets cost $55 per person.

St. Thomas School to sponsor golf outing

St. Thomas the Apostle School, Old Bridge, will host its sixth annual Golf Classic beginning at 8 a.m. on May 8 at the Bella Vista Country Club, Marlboro.

Cost is $150 per person and includes continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf, contests and luncheon.

Reservations are required. Sponsors are sought.

Pro-wrestling event to benefit rec program

Former World Wrestling Entertainment stars Kamala and The Patriot and local stars Archadia, Nicky Oceans and Bryan Sexton will headline a fund-raising evening of all-star professional wrestling set for 7:45 p.m. on March 24 at South River Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1451, 31 Reid St.

A portion of the evening's proceeds will go to Sayreville Recreation Wrestling to aid the program's year-end banquet and awards ceremony.

Due to zoning regulations, organizers moved the event to the VFW location from its original planned location, the Garden Friends Theater, Bordentown Avenue, Old Bridge. Tickets printed with the Garden Friends location will be honored at the VFW site.

Local wrestlers Ed Kazzar, Dave Logan and J.T. Highlander also will be on the card.

Tickets cost $16 for adults, $14 for youngsters and seniors and are available at Cuts Women, Washington Road, Mr. Dee's Hot Dogs, Johnson Lane and Ernston Road, and TJ's Pizza, Bordentown Avenue and Cheesequake Road, all Parlin section of Sayreville; Minit Mart, Main Street, Sayreville, next to the post office; and Villaggio's Pizza, Main Street, South River.

Sisterhood to sponsor March 29 fashion show

The Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Ohr will present its annual Fashion Show beginning at 6:30 p.m. on March 29 in the temple social hall, 70 Route 516, Old Bridge.

Tickets cost $30 per person; price will be $36 after March 23.

Circus to raise funds for Hemophilia Association

Phills Brothers will host a Sunshine Magic Circus fundraiser to benefit the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey at 7:30 p.m. on March 17 at South River High School, Montgomery Street.

Two children will be admitted free of charge with one paid adult. Tickets for adults cost $5 each and will be available at the door.

Breakfast With Bunny scheduled in Spotswood

The Immaculate Conception Fathers Club will host its annual Breakfast With the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. to noon on April 2 in the Immaculate Conception School cafeteria, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood.

A buffet breakfast will be served. Activities will include arts and crafts, photos with the Easter Bunny and two Easter-egg hunts.

An egg hunt for children ages 4 and younger is set for 10:15 a.m. Youngsters ages 5 and above are invited to take part in a hunt scheduled for 10:45 a.m.

Cost is $10 per adult, $6 per child ages 5-10, $2.50 for ages 2-4; children under age 2 will be admitted free of charge. Advance-sale deadline is March 30.

Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Auxiliary to host Roast Beef Dinner, Bake Sale

The Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4745, Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, will sponsor a Roast Beef Dinner and Bake Sale from 2-7 p.m. on March 25 at the post home, 699 Cliffwood Ave.

OLV Tricky Tray planned for April 21

Our Lady of Victories (OLV) Parish will hold its second annual Adult Tricky Tray beginning at 7:30 p.m. on April 21 in the church's Monsignor Dalton Hall, Main Street, Sayreville. Doors will open at 5 p.m. The event is open to individuals age 18 and above.

Tickets, which are available for $8 each beginning March 20 at the parish office, include admission, two sheets of prize tickets, coffee, tea and dessert. Dinner tickets may be purchased for $7 each, in advance only; deadline is April 7. Participants may bring their own food and beverage. For more information, call the parish office at (732) 257-0077.

Fish Fry planned for March 24 at church

The Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church, 172 Main St., Sayreville, will sponsor a Fish Fry on March 24. Takeouts will begin at 5 p.m. Dining room seating is set for 5:15-7 p.m.

Tickets cost $12 in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $14.
