Youth drama workshops scheduled in Sayreville

The Sayreville Main Street Players will sponsor its second session of youth theater classes in the theater space at Garden of Friends, Bordentown Avenue, Sayreville.

Classes for youngsters ages 6-8 are planned for 10-11 a.m., Saturdays, May 6-June 17. Enrollment is limited. A summer program also will be offered five mornings a week from 10 a.m. to noon, June 26-July 8.

A "Star Showcase" for young adults ages 9-15 will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, July 17-Aug. 12. The workshop will include improvisation and theater games. Participants will develop and present a full theatrical production to be performed at the end of the session. Students will be involved in all aspects of theater.

All classes will be conducted by professional teachers.
