Parlin couple arrested on distribution charges
BY MICHAEL ACKER
Staff Writer

SAYREVILLE - Two Parlin residents were arrested Sept. 1 on charges that they were running a marijuana distribution ring.

Police arrested Robert Buglioli, 49, and his wife Jill, 41, after executing search warrants at their residence on Swider Drive. Authorities reportedly seized more than a pound-and-a-half of marijuana, as well as what they described as a large amount of prescription drugs such as OxyContin, for which they did not have prescriptions.

The Sayreville Police Department Narcotics Bureau conducted a six-month investigation that resulted in the arrests, according to a press release. Both suspects were charged with possession of over a pound of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession and distribution of marijuana within a state housing complex, and within a school zone and a park zone. They were also charged with possession and distribution of OxyContin prescription drugs within 1,000 feet of a school, park and housing complex.

Bail for Robert Buglioli was set at $150,000; Jill Buglioli was released on her own recognizance, according to police.
