Youth, adult programs on agenda at library

A variety of children's, young-adult and adult programs are planned at the Old Bridge Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

The schedule is as follows:

+ Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. - "Senior Fridays: Ethel Merman, Broadway's Greatest Diva";

+ Nov. 13, 20 and 27 at 4 p.m. - "It's Time for Chess," open to children and young adults, beginners and advanced players;

+ Nov. 13 at 7:45 p.m. - Teen Book Discussion, "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli, open to individuals in grades 8-12;

+ Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. - "Harvest of Despair," a documentary film about the starvation of more than 7 million Ukrainians, 1932-1933, presented by the Ukrainian National Women's League of America and moderated by Taras Hunczak, professor emeritus, Rutgers University, New Brunswick;

+ Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m. - "Senior Fridays: Get Up and Move!", adult line-dancing with Janet of Janet's Dance Studio;

+ Nov. 18 at 1:30 p.m. - Acoustic guitar concert by Dave Simmons, open to family members of all ages;

+ Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. - Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting, open to grades 8-12;

+ Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. - "Citizenship: Why It Matters," open to adults, presented by Elizabeth C. Matto, Ph.D, Eagleton Institute of Politics, Rutgers University, New Brunswick;

+ Nov. 24 at 1:30 p.m. - "Senior Fridays: The British Royal Family, the House of Windsor and Its History As We Remember It."
