Community Bulletin Board The Middlesex County Public Health Department will offer several additional flu and pneumococcal immunization clinics for the 2006-07 influenza season. Flu-shot clinics are open to all Middlesex County residents age 18 and over. There is no charge for the flu shot, but Medicare will be billed where appropriate. Pneumococcal immunizations are available by appointment only to county residents who are age 65 and older and have not previously received the vaccine. Medicare will be billed where appropriate. The Old Bridge Public Library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, is collecting donations of new hardcover and paperback books for distribution to disadvantaged children throughout Middlesex County during the holiday season. The program, called Books to Keep, is a project of the Libraries of Middlesex, a consortium of public libraries, and the Middlesex County College Library, Edison. New hardcover and paperback books suitable for children from preschool through adolescence may be brought to the Old Bridge Library through Dec. 15. Funds are needed to purchase additional books for distribution. St. Ambrose HSA, Old Bridge, will partner with the Menlo Park Mall, Edison, for a private shopping event planned for 6:30-10 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the mall. Proceeds will benefit the Simon Youth Foundation and St. Ambrose HSA. The mall will offer holiday entertainment for adults and children. Most mall stores, restaurants and kiosks will be open. Special sales, activities and a silent auction will be featured. Ticket holders only will be admitted. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children. Granny's Cellar craft show coming to Sp'wood
The 21st annual Granny's Cellar Holiday Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 25 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 26 in the auditorium at Immaculate Conception School, Manalapan Road, Spotswood. Cheesequake PTA to sponsor clothes drive
The Cheesequake School PTA will hold a clothing-drive fundraiser from 10 a.m. on Nov. 18 in the school parking lot, Route 34, Old Bridge. Slightly used shoes, stuffed animals, clothing, linens, handbags and belts are sought. Donated items should be placed in a plastic bag. Contributors, who will get a receipt for the bags, should keep an itemized list of the donations. The PTA will receive cash for the donations from We Collect Clothes for a Cause. Bake Auction to raise funds for theater group
