John Nicora

Mr. Nicora, 62, of Aberdeen, died Nov. 7, 2006, at home. He is survived by his wife, June McGuigan Breheny-Nicora; his mother, Louise Isola Nicora of Aberdeen; a son and daughter-in-law, Sean M. and Tara Breheny of the Morgan section of Sayreville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Gabriel Lugo of Laurence Harbor; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Benedict's Church. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

Betty Jane Poole Bryant

Mrs. Bryant, 78, of Millstone, formerly of Sayreville, died Nov. 11, 2006, in Liberty Manor, Englishtown. She was a Sunday school teacher at Messiah Lutheran Church, Sayreville. Her husband, Donald E. Bryant, died in 1984, and a son, Donald E. Bryant, died in 2004. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James "Randy" and Maryellen Bryant of Millstone; three grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Bryant. Services were held at Messiah Lutheran Church. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 19 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset, NJ 08873.

Terrence P. Regan

Mr. Regan, 46, of Glendale, Calif., formerly of East Brunswick, died Nov. 4 at home. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Fradejas Regan; a son, Hunter; his parents, Edward and Margaret "Peggy" O'Shea Regan of East Brunswick; four brothers, Daniel of Pennington, Sean of New Providence, Edward III of Bridgewater and Michael of East Brunswick; five sisters, Kelly Fahy of Fort Myers, Fla., Erin Harre of Lynchburg, Va., Mary Branson of Southborough, Mass., Lynn Adams of Newtown, Pa., and Maureen Cook of Freehold; a dear friend, Terry Cruz; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a scholarship fund established for Mr. Regan's son. Donations should be sent to Edward Regan, 3 Harold Court, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

William Gural

Mr. Gural, 88, of Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Nov. 6, 2006, in Virginia Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center. His wife, Gladys, died in 2001. Surviving are two stepchildren, Maury Allen of Cherry Hill and Janice Weakley of Virginia Beach; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hanover.

Margaret Haggerty Fitzpatrick

Mrs. Fitzpatrick, 83, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 12, 2006, in Briarwood Rehabilitation Center, Sayreville. She was a former school bus driver for the Old Bridge Township Board of Education. Her husband, George A. Fitzpatrick Jr., died in 1997, and a son, George A. Fitzpatrick III, died in 1967. Surviving are a son, Dennis Fitzpatrick of Old Bridge; two daughters, Debbie McMillen of West Windsor and Karen DeFeis of Florida; five grandsons and four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Nov. 16 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Anne E. O'Brien Evans

Mrs. Evans, 54, of Monroe, died Nov. 7, 2006, at home. Prior to her retirement in 1997, she was employed as a registered nurse at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, where she worked for 23 years. Her mother, Leah, died in 2003. Surviving are her father, Thomas O'Brien; her husband, Lawrence J. Evans; a son, Patrick Evans of Monroe; two brothers, Timothy O'Brien of Annandale, Va., and Thomas O'Brien of Sorrento, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at Nativity of Our Lord Church, Monroe. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Elizabeth "Bette" T. Buesany Miller

Mrs. Miller, 88, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Old Bridge and Spotswood, died Nov. 1, 2006, at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and by a sister, Helen VanArsdale. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Elaine Wasiowich

Ms. Wasiowich, 59, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 6, 2006, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was employed since 1990 as a registered nurse in the pediatric care unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her father, Peter Wasiowich, died in 2006, and her mother, Elizabeth Matyasovcki Wasiowich, died in 1995. Surviving are two brothers, Steven Wasiowich of East Brunswick and Peter Wasiowich of Wayne; a niece, Lisa Mull; and six aunts, two uncles and many cousins. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Foundation, c/o Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, 8 Easton Ave., New Brunswick NJ 08901.

Jose Rojas

Mr. Rojas, 67, of Milltown, died Nov. 3, 2006, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was employed as a custodial group leader at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where he worked for 29 years. Surviving are his wife, Deborah S. Posa Rojas; five sons, Thomas Vargas, Jose Rojas, David Rojas, stationed in Iraq, and Victor and Vincent Rojas; two daughters, Nancy and Michelle Rojas; several grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A blessing was held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 308, Milltown, NJ 08850.

Joan E. Buxton Romanowski

Mrs. Romanowski, 76, of Sayreville, died Nov. 11, 2006, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Edward, died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Stanley of Sayreville and Edward of East Windsor; three sisters, Janet Quagliato of Union, Ruth Huey of the Whiting section of Manchester and Loretta Buxton of Tennessee; and a granddaughter. Private services were under the direction of Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville.
