Sounds of the season to be heard at concert

Philomusica Choir will present "Echoes of Mystery and Joy - A Celebration of the Season" at 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 and at 4 p.m. on Dec. 3 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 277 Washington Place/Route 130, North Brunswick.

The concert will feature William Byrd's "Mass in Four Voices"; three settings each of "O Magnum Mysterium" by Byrd, Tomas Luis de Vittoria and Francis Poulenc; "Hodie Christus Natus Est" by Byrd, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and Poulenc; jazz-influenced Alfred Burt carols; and familiar carols of the season.
