Car crashes into pharmacy

OLD BRIDGE - A Morganville woman accidentally crashed her car into the CVS Pharmacy on Route 9 and Texas Road while she was trying to pull into a parking space Monday.

The front portion of the vehicle ended up inside the building, according to the police report, but no injuries were reported to the driver, two juvenile passengers or patrons inside the store.

The driver, Gayle E. Ostic, 48, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, told police that the pedal was stuck to the floor of the car when she attempted to pull her Chevy Tahoe into a parking space at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to Lt. Robert Weiss of the Old Bridge Police Department.

The car damaged a brick wall and two window panes. The woman had a 14-year-old child and 5-year-old child inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
