Dec. 7-15

• Adopt-A-Family, sponsored by the South River Elementary School PTA, to make the holiday season more enjoyable for disadvantaged children in South River. Dec. 7-18

• Online Auction, sponsored by the Solomon Schechter Day School of Raritan Valley, East Brunswick, at www.ssdsrv.cmarket.com. Site offers more than 150 holiday gift items. Categories include sports tickets, shows, restaurants, salons, jewelry, getaways, kids stuff, summer camps, home goods, collectibles, health/beauty, professional services. New items added weekly. Dec. 9

• Children's Tricky Tray, sponsored by Our Lady of Victories Church, doors open at 11 a.m., first drawing at 12:30 p.m., in the church's Monsignor Dalton Hall, Main Street, Sayreville. Tickets cost $6 each; children age 2 and under admitted free of charge. Umbrella strollers only be permitted. Lunch available. • Holiday Gift Market, sponsored by the Old Bridge High School girls lacrosse team, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the cafeteria at Old Bridge High School, Route 516. Approximately 200 tables of crafts and gifts. Call Stephen Gajewski at (732) 500-2609.

Dec. 10

• Christmas Tea, sponsored by St. Bartholomew Columbiettes, 2 p.m., at St. Bartholomew Knights of Columbus Council Home, 460 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Harp music, holiday stories, tea, soft drinks, cookies. Admission is $10, plus a dish of cookies to share. Proceeds go to bring Christmas-dinner baskets to an abused women's shelter.
