On Tuesday, Dec. 5, the East Brunswick Elks conducted its annual Local Hoop Shoot contest. Over 20 area children attended the event, which was held for the third consecutive year at East Brunswick High School. Winners of each category will represent Lodge No. 2370 at the district level Hoop Shoot competition on Jan. 7, at Lord Sterling School, New Brunswick. They are: (girls division) 8-9, Kelly Joyce; 10-11, Lena Buccigrossi; and 12-13, Kathleen Joyce; (boys division) 8-9, Michael Acevedo; 10-11, Dylan Mullin; and 12-13, Dominick Pizzano
