Mental illness to be topic at meeting

NAMI-Middlesex, an affiliate of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, an organization for family and friends of the mentally ill and dedicated to helping those with mental illness and their families, will hold the next of its general membership meetings and speaker-series events from 7-9 p.m. on Jan. 8 at University Behavioral HealthCare (UBHC), 671 Hoes Lane, Room D201/203, Piscataway.

Steven M. Silverstein, Ph.D., director of the Division of Schizophrenia Research, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-(UBHC), will offer a presentation titled “Recent Insights Into the Causes and Treatments of Serious Mental Illness.”
