Work begins on offices near parkway exit

OLD BRIDGE - Denholtz Associates, a New Jersey-based real estate development company, recently broke ground on a new 53,000-square-foot office building at Metropark

South II.

Denholtz acquired the 2.7-acre development site from Kara Homes last summer. Located off Exit 120 of the Garden State Parkway, Metropark South II will be marketed for multitenancy, the company said in a press release. Construction is scheduled to be completed in late spring or early summer.

"We are proud to welcome this new office building and the new businesses it will attract to our community. This is an excellent opportunity for the creation of new jobs and tax ratables for the township of Old Bridge," said Old Bridge Mayor James T. Phillips.

Russell Azzarello, former director of the Economic Development Corp., said Metropark South II is "a wonderful addition" to the town and will create minimal traffic burden on the township's local roads because of its location alongside the parkway exit.

"Metropark South II is strategically situated in one of the fastest growing and strongest demographic markets in New Jersey," said Steve Geltzeiler, director of leasing for Denholtz Associates. "With very little Class A office space available in this marketplace, Metropark South II has already received significant interest from the business community."

Denholtz also owns Metropark South I, a 130,000-square-foot office building located less than one-quarter mile from its newly acquired site. Currently, Metropark South I is fully leased out, the company said.

Denholtz Associates is headquartered in Rahway and maintains offices in Atlanta, Chicago and throughout Florida and New Jersey.
