Virginia Peterson

Mrs. Peterson, 82, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 8, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Raymond, died in 1999, and a grandson, Steven Giordano, died in 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Giordano, and her husband, David, of the Sewell section of Mantua, and Lauren Serzan, and her husband, Kenneth, of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.

Joy Racioppi Battaglia

Mrs. Battaglia, 66, of South Amboy, died Jan. 8, 2007, in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as an Avon sales representative. Surviving are her husband, Patsy; a daughter, Debra Anne Battaglia; a son, Angelo Gerard Battaglia; and a sister Mary Markase. Private services were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville.

Gary J. Fullman

Mr. Fullman, 67, of Sayreville, died Jan. 2, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Pascocello Fullman; and a daughter, Caryn Fullman, and a son, Craig Fullman, both of Sayreville. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Hollywood Cemetery, Union.

Concetta Vignera Sorrentino

Mrs. Sorrentino, 87, of East Brunswick, died Jan. 9, 2007, in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Charles Sorrentino, died in 1987, and a daughter, Lucille Randall, died in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Maria Savino of East Brunswick; two sons, Vincent Sorrentino and Richard Sorrentino, both of East Brunswick; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

Robert Phillip Barker Jr.

Mr. Barker, 37, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 12, 2007, at home. He was a 1988 graduate of Madison Central High School, Old Bridge. Surviving are his mother, Katherine Barker of Old Bridge; a sister, Mary Van Dyke, and her husband, Leon, of Morris Plains; two aunts; an uncle; and a cousin. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Genevieve Toth

Mrs. Toth, 78, of Gaithersburg, Md., formerly of Milltown, died Jan. 7, 2007, in Casey House, Rockville, Md. Her husband, Stephen E. Toth, died in 1987, and a son, Stephen M. Toth, died in 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Moldawer and Judy Laratta, both of Gaithersburg; two sisters, Helen Dominiecki and Joanne Lepucki, both of South River; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

Dorothy E. Oliver

Ms. Oliver, 71, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 4, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are four cousins, Chris Brewer of New Hampshire, and Dana Freiburg, Lisa Kudrick and Eugene Freiburg, all of Union Beach; a nephew, Robert Oliver, and a niece, Nancy Linke, both of Jamesburg; and three great-nieces and one great-nephew. Services were held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Interment was in Green Grove Cemetery, also Keyport. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.

Arnold Morris

Mr. Morris, 73, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 8, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife Wally Morris; five sons, Arnold of Short Hills, Robert of Freehold, Steven of Monroe, Neil of Old Bridge and William of Matawan; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick. Entombment followed. Gladys Foster

Mrs. Foster, 87, of Spotswood, died Jan. 15, 2007, in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Richard Foster, died in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Komoniesky, and her husband, Steve, of Spotswood; two sisters, Irene Brenon of Keyport and Helen Sawruk of Rochelle Park; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 18 at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Pauline M. Bielak

Ms. Bielak, 89, of Sayreville, died Jan. 11, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she was employed as a packer with Revlon, Edison, where she worked for 35 years. Surviving are three sisters, Mary Bielak, Lottie Bielak and Bernadette Lyle, all of Sayreville; three brothers, Josh Bielak and Leon Bielak, both of Sayreville, and Frank Bielak of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Catherine Koenig Skwiat

Mrs. Skwiat, 71, of South River, died Jan. 12, 2007, in Madison Care Center, Old Bridge. Surviving are her husband, Arthur Skwiat; a daughter, Susan Kolomyetz, and her husband, Alex, of South River; a brother, William Koenig of South River; a sister, Beatrice Bianco of Pennsylvania; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Ruth A. Wermuth MacArthur

Mrs. MacArthur, 68, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Jan. 10, 2007, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Freehold Township. A driver for special-needs children, she was employed with Unlimited Auto, Keyport. Prior to that, she worked as a nurse at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Menlo Park, and as a licensed practical nurse with Bartley Manor, Jackson. Surviving are her husband, Robert H. MacArthur; a daughter, Kathleen Nuss of Laurence Harbor; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael Cornell and Kevin and Stefanie Cornell, all of Laurence Harbor, and Patrick and Darlene Cornell of Lacey; a brother, Joseph Wermuth of Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services were held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge.

Ida Mae Manning

Mrs. Manning, 72, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 7, 2007, at home. She was a manager for the Old Bridge Township Ice Arena for 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Manning Sr. Surviving are a son, Robert J. Manning Jr. of Old Bridge; five daughters, Linda Manning of Sebastian, Fla., Marilyn Caldwell of Monroe, Doreen Cifrodella of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mary Manning of Las Vegas, Nev., and Denise Hurley of Matawan; a brother, Howard Clayton of Cranford; a sister, Lorraine Mason of Piscataway; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on Jan. 11 at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38173-0704.
