Jan. 25-31 + Wounded Warrior Project Drive, sponsored by the Spotswood High School History Club and Octagon Community Service Club. The project provides returning amputee and wheelchair veterans (who have served in the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world) with a backpack filled with personal and other needed items upon their arrival at a military hospital in the United States. Contents of each backpack cost $99. The pack will display a luggage tag noting name and address of sponsor. Jan. 26, ongoing + Art Sale, to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, sponsored by River Mill Art Gallery in conjunction with the Spotswood High School History Club and club adviser Frank Yusko, at the gallery, 34 Main St., South River.
