Time for county to establish no-kill animal shelter

I was told by several people about how great the Monmouth County Animal Shelter is. A couple of weeks ago, I took a carload of items to the facility's thrift store that benefits the animals.

The shelter is extremely clean, and the animals are exercised and seem friendly and happy. The people at both the shelter and thrift store are real animal-lovers, and this can be seen by how they treat the animals. This is a no-kill shelter. Franklin Township and Friends of the Linden Animal Shelter are also clean, no-kill shelters.

It is about time Middlesex County operated an animal shelter, one that is a no-kill, clean, compassionate and friendly animal shelter.

Animal shelters should publish their adoption days weekly so people will know when they can visit the shelter if they are planning on adopting a pet. Let's make sure all animal shelters become no-kill shelters.
