Madison Park Girls Softball League will be holding final in-person registration for the upcoming season on Thursday and Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Old Bridge Library, Feb. 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Park Little League Fieldhouse, located on Cheesequake Road behind the Madison Park Firehouse. Ages 5-17 by June 30 are eligible. There is a $65 registration fee, ($50 T-ball), with a $100 maximum family plan, and copy of birth certificate is needed. The Old Bridge Soccer League is holding its registration for spring recreational soccer. The 10-game season begins on March 17. Games are played on Saturdays. Full uniforms are supplied. Township residency is not required. The league is open to all children (boys and girls) born on or before March 1, 2003. Proof of age is required for all new players. Registration will be held at Old Bridge High School Grade 9 Center (first building on the right) on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30 p.m., starting on Feb. 6 and ending on Feb. 14. On Sunday, Jan. 1, the Sayreville Recreation wrestling team entered the Middlesex Novice tournament. Coaching this tournament was Paul Munier and Frank Roman. Taking first place was Michael Porcaro, while second-place finishers included Ryan McCracken and Dylan Taillefer. Third place finishers were Jason Inganamorte, Hunter Knoth, Sam Perez, Noah Perez, and Tayler O'Neill, while fourth-place finishers included Corey Knoth, Franky Roman, R.J. Feola and Nick Pestonit. Taking home fifth-place awards were Joseph Porcaro, Rich Cook, Kyle Cruz, Joe Kay-Flagg and Dean Westberry.

Also wrestling in this tournament were Matt Libecci, Kory Hatton and Kyle Wavro. Also in news, some Sayreville wrestlers attended the state qualifiers on Jan. 21 in Toms River. Taking second-place were Michael Bohling and Gary Siriday, while finishing third were Mike Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Nick Richuisa and Anthony Pestonit

Cheesequake Baseball registration for the spring league is now available.
