Thompson to offer mobile office in O.B.

Assemblyman Sam Thompson (R-13) will sponsor a mobile office from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the George Bush Senior Center in the municipal complex, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.

Legislative staff members will provide information, help constituents resolve problems with state agencies and assist those who wish to sign up for state programs such as PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance for the Aged and Disabled), Senior Gold and NJFamilyCare.

Veterans will be able to register with the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., and apply for New Jersey Military Service Medals.

The senior center is a drop-off location for Operation DVD, a drive to collect used and new movie DVDs and music CDs to provide safe entertainment for U.S. troops serving in war zones. Thompson, who has spearheaded the drive in New Jersey since June, recently put together a shipment of more than 4,700 DVDs and CDs collected from all over New Jersey for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

For more information, call the assemblyman's office at (732) 583-5558.
