Temple to conclude identity-theft series

Congregation Beth Ohr, 70 Route 516, Old Bridge, will present the final installment in its series titled "Identity Theft: It Could Happen to You" at 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 12.

Guest speaker Jan Allen of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, Office of Public Affairs, Education Section, will offer a presentation on "Phishing," a criminal activity using illegal social-engineering computer techniques to acquire credit-card and password information via e-mail.

Through the use of video scenarios and discussions, participants will learn effective preventative measures to help safeguard their identity. The community is invited to attend.

For more information, call the synagogue at (732) 257-1523.
