The U10 Old Bridge Thunder is looking for one or two girls for this season and to try-out for next season, when the team plays full-sided soccer. The team trains two or three times per week, and will play in four or five quality tournaments in the winter and spring seasons. The team will play in MOSA Premier, where they have a first- and second-place finish. All coaches are state-licensed, two played college, and our trainer has played professionally in Europe. Old Bridge Lacrosse Association's new season will begin March 1. Registration will be held at the South Old Bridge firehouse on Englishtown Road and Appleby Avenue 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. Applications can be downloaded at www.oldbridgelacrosse.com, or picked up the night of registration. Equipment orders will be placed for new players as well as current players. Orders will also be collected for Old Bridge Lacrosse apparel such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and jackets (50 percent deposit required on all apparel). All new players and parents should attend to meet the coaches, who will be available to answer all your questions.

The SayreWoods South Over-30 Men's Baseball League's registration for its 15th year of men's baseball will take place on March 5 and 19 at the Old Bridge Civic Center (Senior Center Building on right) on Route 516/Cotrell Road between 7 and 8:30 p.m.. The regular season consists of approximately 21 games, and begins June 1 and goes through October. Games will be played Monday through Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m., noon or 3 p.m. at Geick Park in Old Bridge.
Registration fee is $225, cash or check, due at registration and nonrefundable after May 1. New players must try out. You must be at least 30 years old by June 1. Madison Park Little League will be holding registration at the field house located on Cheesequake Road in Old Bridge on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. The Sayreville Athletic Association Parlin Pirates all-star baseball tournament teams are now forming for the spring league. They are looking for new players for the following age groups - U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15. They are also looking for managers and coaches. Tryouts will be on Saturday at the Arleth School Gymatorium (3198 Washington Road) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Players must bring a glove and wear sweat pants/shorts and sneakers.
