James E. Murphy

Mr. Murphy, 65, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Jan. 29, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was a self-employed tile fitter. Surviving are his wife, Janice Bornemann Murphy; three daughters, Kelli Ann Niedziela of Brick, Shannon E. Murphy of East Brunswick and Jamie L. Murphy of Laurence Harbor; a son, James Murphy Jr. of Cory, Ind.; a brother, Wayne Murphy of Marco Island, Fla.; a sister, Pat Murphy of Highlands; and two grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private.

Sean R. Holton

Mr. Holton, 40, of Old Bridge, formerly of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, died Jan. 29, 2007, in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ratzin Holton; his parents, Gerard and Carol Taylor Holton of Colonia; a sister, Stacey Holton Tobin of the Morganville section of Marlboro; a brother, Jeff Holton of Freehold; and a nephew. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private. Matthew F. Cantalupo

Mr. Cantalupo, 64, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Feb. 13, 2007, in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Laura Lewis Cantalupo. Surviving are his wife, Judith A. McLaughlin Cantalupo; two daughters, Tracy Cantalupo of Laurence Harbor and Kelly Cantalupo of Old Bridge; two sons, Matthew Cantalupo of Old Bridge and Glenn Cantalupo of Woodbridge; three brothers, John and Joseph, both of Newark, and Carmine of Nevada; a sister, Marie of Pennington; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

Frederick John Schein

Mr. Schein, 95, of the Cheesequake Village section of Old Bridge, died Feb. 12, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in New York City, he resided in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, Matawan, and Keyport prior to relocating to Cheesequake Village 11 years ago. He was a maintenance supervisor at Eastern Airlines for 20 years, retiring in 1976. He also taught metal fabrication at Middlesex County College, Edison, retiring eight years ago. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He was a member of Keyport Lions Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Verdile Schein in 1997. He is survived by a son, Fred Schein of Mill Valley, Calif.; and three sisters, Anna Sufchinsky of Toms River, Elizabeth Safchinsky of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Theresa Reed of Sacramento, Calif. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Esther B. McLaughlin

Mrs. McLaughlin, 88, of Penhook, Va., died Feb. 5, 2007, at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, Rocky Mount, Va. She was born in South Amboy and had lived in the Cheesequake section of Old Bridge, Freehold Township and Waretown before moving to Penhook two years ago. Prior to retiring several years ago, she was a secretary for DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville, for 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo J. McLaughlin Sr., in 1984. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Leo J. Jr. and Ruth McLaughlin of Penhook; two grandsons, Guy William McLaughlin and Leo J. (Staci) McLaughlin III; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

William B. Kline

Mr. Kline, 77, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 13, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Alma James Kline; four sons, William of Manalapan, Steven of Port Richie, Fla., Jeffrey of South Plainfield and Robert of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Memorial services were held at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Cremation was private.

Donald Forkel

Mr. Forkel, 76, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 15, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Helen Przywara Forkel; a daughter, Elena Kidder of the Lawrenceville section of Lawrence; and two grandchildren, Robert and Kevin. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.

Nancy Anastazia Mamrosh Peake

Mrs. Peake, 71, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 14, 2007, in Kensington Manor, Toms River section of Dover. Surviving are her husband, Harry Peake; two sons, Harry, and his wife, Colleen, of Greentown, Pa., and Thomas, and his wife, Sharon, of Millstone; a brother, John Mamrosh of Jersey City; and two granddaughters. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 120 Wall St., 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005.

William R. Coyle

Mr. Coyle, 81, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 18, 2007, at home. He previously owned and operated Parlin Plumbing and Heating Co., and was a plumbing inspector for the borough of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Emily T. Kendzierski Coyle; four sons, William R. Jr., Dennis, David and Daniel Coyle; seven daughters, Linda Chierchia, Colleen Mezzina, Kathy Icker, Eileen Finn, Darleen Shanley, Debbie Coyle and Kelly Bascak; two brothers, George and John Coyle; three sisters, Evelyn Bloodgood, Sister Mary Louise Coyle, R.S.M, and Patricia Coyle; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 22 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Robert W. Yock

Mr. Yock, 35, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 26, 2007, at home. His mother, Constance Baber, died in 2003. He was employed for the past 13 years as a water-utility operator for East Brunswick Township. Surviving are three children, Nicole and Casey Yock of South River and Sabrina Yock of the Fords section of Woodbridge; his father, Raymond Yock; two sisters, Deborah Geary of Ontario, Canada, and Sharon Westervelt of Hillsborough; and his girlfriend, Cara Shaw of Old Bridge. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Rhoda Campbell Arfken

Mrs. Arfken, 92, of Old Bridge, formerly of Cranford, died Feb. 3, 2007, in the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, H. Alan Arfken Sr., died in 2004. Surviving are two sons, H. Alan Arfken Jr., and his wife, Julia, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and William Arfken, and his wife, Susan, of Monroe; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Church Home, 1990 Route 18, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.

Mary Cherry Schleifer

Mrs. Schleifer, 76, of East Brunswick, died June 27, 2007, in Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was predeceased by her husband, James H. Schleifer. Surviving are two sons, James E., and his wife, Reyne, of Princeton Junction, and Richard J., and his wife, Chantelle, of Brick; a daughter, Barbara Fischer, and her husband, Mark, of Old Bridge; two brothers, John D. Cherry of Asbury Park and Robert Cherry of California; and eight grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Robert J. Credico

Mr. Credico, 58, of South Amboy, died Feb. 12, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Fuchs Credico. Surviving are an uncle, Leon R. Credico of South Amboy; and several cousins, including John M. Nolan of South Amboy. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Cremation was private.

William E. Bruhn

Mr. Bruhn, 75, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Jan. 28, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed as a releasing clerk with E.I. Dupont Photo Products, Sayreville, where he worked for 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Louise MacFarlane Bruhn; a daughter, Deborah DeBoer, and her husband, Roy, of Monroe; four sisters, Doris Dodd of San Diego, Calif., Janet Palmero of Allentown, Pa., Elaine Szegeti of South River and Marilyn Wojciechowski of Florida; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Bertha Schultz Sheridan

Mrs. Sheridan, 88, of South River, formerly of East Brunswick, died Feb. 13, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress with Brodsky and Sons, South River, where she worked for 30 years. Her husband, Ed, died in 1983. Surviving are four nieces, Gloria Czech and Louis Cia, both of Monroe, Florence Wenzel of Milltown and Joyce Trzeciak of South River; and two nephews, Walter Pawlowski of Sayreville and Thomas Pawlowski of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Rhoda Lipman Willsky

Mrs. Willsky, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 4, 2007. She was a teacher with the East Brunswick public school system. Her husband, Stanley Willsky, died in 2006. Surviving are a son, Gregg Willsky, and a daughter, Karen Willsky, both of Morristown; and a brother, Michael Lipman of Tamarac, Fla. Graveside services were held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.

Viola Loretta Allen Wasilko

Mrs. Wasilko, 74, of Monroe, formerly of Spotswood, died Feb. 1, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a former owner of Wasilko Travel Agency, Monroe. Her husband, Michael M. Wasilko, died in 1979. Surviving are two sons, Jerry Wasilko, and his wife, Ruth, of Monroe, and Michael Wasilko Jr., and his wife, Norma, of Jackson; two daughters, Cathy Saris of Maui, Hawaii, and Karen Lanio, and her husband, Anthony, of South Amboy; three brothers, Bobby Hendricks of Otego, N.Y., Roger Hendricks of Plainfield and Wesley Hendricks of Keystone Heights, Fla.; three sisters, Donna Brock of Hightstown, Patsy Sult of Shickshinny, Pa., and Sarah Yustat of Stillwater, Pa.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Nativity of Our Lord Church, Monroe. Interment was private.

Helen Jankowski Waraksa

Mrs. Waraksa, 89, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 10, 2007, in Care One, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Waraksa, and by a daughter, Joan Waraksa. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Skenesky, and her husband, Joseph, of Monroe; two sisters, Agnes Smith of Brick and Stephanie Stimphel of Florida; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
