Rosella Martin Kruszewski

Mrs. Kruszewski, 81, of Sayreville, died Feb. 1, 2007, in Atlantic Highlands Nursing Home. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she worked for more than 20 years with Peter J. Switzer, Spotswood. Her husband, Stanley P. Kruszewski, died in 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Dolores Munson, and her husband, Edmund, of Oakhurst and Mary Ann Zinna, and her husband, Charles, of the Somerset section of Franklin; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

Mary Sardella Hyer Heaton

Mrs. Heaton, 86, of Keyport, died Feb. 19, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her first husband, Stanley L. Hyer; her second husband, Earl Heaton; two sisters, Margaret Sardella and Clara Gentile; and four brothers, Charles, Michael, Joseph and John Sardella. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol M. and John Bambrick of Matawan; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold William and Barbara Hyer of Hazlet; a sister, Judith Genovese of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Eileen Sardella of Sayreville, Jennie Sardella of Hazlet, and Verna Lehman Dering of Egg Harbor City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at St. John's Church. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center, 75 W. Main St., Freehold 07728.

Marie Pohl Rademacher Strutt

Mrs. Strutt, 84, of Old Bridge, formerly of Milltown, East Brunswick, and Sarasota, Fla., died Feb. 8, 2007, in Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Her first husband, George J. Rademacher, died in 1965; a grandson, Mark Rademacher, died in 1978; and her second husband, Alfred G. Strutt, died in 2002. Surviving are five children and their spouses, Ann Marie and Arthur Simons and Robert Rademacher, all of Milltown, George and Diane Rademacher of Neptune, Thomas "Smokey" and Rose Rademacher of Sarasota, Fla., and Margaret Mary and Joel Baughman of Telford, Tenn.; a sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Bill Lease of Seaside Park; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes School Fund, Milltown.

Norma June Rice Shephard

Mrs. Shephard, 72, of Millstone, formerly of South River and Old Bridge, died Feb. 1, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement in 2005, she was a receptionist at South River Borough Hall, where she worked for six years. Her husband, Harold F. Shephard, died in 1987. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Strausser, and her husband, Jerry, of East Brunswick, and Brenda Pauwels, and her husband, Bill, of Millstone; three sons, Mark Howell of Englishtown, William "Bill" Shephard, and his wife, Shannon, of Millville and Harold "Tom" Shephard of New York City; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was private.

Anna Marie Varsolona

Mrs. Varsolona, 39, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of Old Bridge, died Feb. 11, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was employed as a traffic clerk with F. Schumacher and Co., Cranbury. Her father, Frank Martoccio, died in 1994. Surviving are her mother, Mary Beth Martoccio, with whom she lived; a daughter, Taylor Marie Varsolona of Parlin; two sisters, Gina Martoccio of Old Bridge and Jennifer Medvin of Holmdel; two nieces; and her former husband, Dean Varsolona of Old Bridge. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Parlin section of Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund to be established for Mrs. Varsolona's daughter.

Anna "Ann" H. Hencoski Kircher

Mrs. Kircher, 91, of Holmdel, died Feb. 20, 2007, at Victoria Health Care, Matawan. Born in Newark, she resided there prior to relocating to Holmdel in 1974. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. She is survived by her husband, Charles Kircher; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Cecelia Kircher of East Brunswick; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and David Hatcher of Freehold; a brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Alice Hencoski of Holmdel; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Benedict's Church. Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Leo F. Hart

Mr. Hart, 79, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 21, 2007, in Haven Hospice at JFK, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Teske Hart; three sons, Leo of Parlin, Joseph, and his wife, Karen, of Old Bridge and Donald, and his wife, Sue, of Edison; a daughter, Theresa Kren, and her husband, Robert, of the Long Valley section of Washington Township; a brother, Gerald Hart of Doylestown, Pa.; a sister, Joan Hart of Kingston, Pa.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park Mausoleum, Woodbridge.

Veronica M. Ploe Marsdale

Mrs. Marsdale, 78, of Hazlet, died Feb. 23, 2007, at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Carteret, prior to relocating to Hazlet. She was a retired secretary at Amaco, Carteret. She as predeceased by her husband, Ernest Marsdale; a son, Jay Marsdale; and a brother, Charles. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Irene Marsdale of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, Donald and Michele Marsdale of Old Bridge, and Douglas and Carol Marsdale of St. Cloud, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Richard A. Krause

Mr. Krause, 75, of Sayreville, died Feb. 6, 2007, in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Strack Krause; a daughter, Stephanie Krause of Sayreville; a brother, Donald Krause of Florida; and a sister, Thelma Mulligan, also of Florida. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Fredrick Cerrato

Mr. Cerrato, 61, of Matawan, died Feb. 24, 2007, at home. Born in New York City, he resided there prior to relocating to Matawan 35 years ago. He was a police officer at the U.S. Depart of Defense, Fort Monmouth, Eatontown. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by a brother, Rocco Cerrato of Old Bridge; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be March 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702; or American Diabetes Association, 19 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset 08873.

Yvonne Iheley Koenig

Miss Koenig, 71, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 22, 2007, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Born in South Amboy, she resided in Old Bridge the past 48 years. She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Old Bridge. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Walter B. Placzek of Matawan; a nephew; a niece; a great-niece; and a great-nephew. A funeral service was held at Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment was at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Arrangements were by The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy.

Anthony Borzellieri

Mr. Borzellieri, 68, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 23, 2007, in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Surviving are his wife, Julia Haroff Borzellieri; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and June Borzellieri of Parlin; a sister, Rosalie Kelsch of Commack, N.Y.; a brother, Frank Borzellieri of Port Washington, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.

James E. Carey

Mr. Carey, 72, of Union Beach, formerly of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died Feb. 23, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Catherine McNulty Carey; a daughter, Kathleen LaFleur of Old Bridge; 19 brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn LaFleur. Services were held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Home, Buffalo, N.Y.

Gladys Ruth Hollowell Connors

Mrs. Connors, 83, of South Amboy, died Feb. 19, 2007, in Old Bridge Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford F. Connors Sr., and by a son, John R. Surviving are four sons, Clifford F. Jr., William A. and Joseph, all of South Amboy, and Howard T. of Lexington, Va.; two daughters, Gladys Swirski of Elizabeth and Susan Green of the Parlin section of Sayreville; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A requiem Eucharist was held at Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy. Interment was in the church cemetery.

LaVerne N. Cleverley

Mrs. Cleverley, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died Feb. 21, 2007, at home. Surviving are her husband, William H.; a son and a daughter-in-law, William Kip and Diane Kip; and two grandchildren, Quinn and Kaylee. A Mass was offered at St. Mary's Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Holmdel Cemetery.

Sharon A. Jackson

Ms. Jackson, 54, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died Feb. 19, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Jackson. Surviving are a son, Daryl Jackson of Cliffwood Beach; a daughter, Carla Jackson of Cliffwood Beach, with whom she lived; her mother, Martha Dixon Jackson, also of Cliffwood Beach; three brothers, Stewart of Carteret, Charles of Keyport and Dana of Cliffwood Beach; four sisters, Joann Moore of Matawan, Linda Garraway of Plainfield, Deborah Trent of Rahway and Charlene Jackson of Asbury Park; several aunts; five grandchildren; and a friend, Ricardo McKingley of Matawan. A service was held at Community Bible Fellowship Church, Cliffwood Beach. Interment was private.

Henrietta Gieraltowski Klimek

Mrs. Klimek, 90, of Sayreville, died Feb. 5, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook for eight years at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, Sayreville. She also worked for many years as a cook for the Sisters of Mercy at Our Lady of Victories and at Our Lady of Victories Church Rectory, both Sayreville. Her husband, Charles Klimek, died in 1977. Surviving are a son, Stanley Klimek, with whom she lived; two brothers, Al Gieraltowski of the Toms River section of Dover and Hank Gieraltowski of Sayreville; and a sister, Geraldine Fedors of Toms River. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Anthony R. Civitello

Anthony R. Civitello, 48, of Jackson, died Feb. 18, 2007, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Old Bridge before moving to Jackson 10 years ago. Mr. Civitello worked for Schweitzer-Mauduit, Spotswood for 23 years. He is survived by his wife, Costanza Civitello of Jackson; two daughters, Nancy and Tina Civitello of Jackson; a brother, Louis J. Civitello of Old Bridge; four sisters, Jo Anne Perschilli of Old Bridge, Lisa Cesare of Sayreville, Karen Civitello of Bayville and Susan Civitello of Edison. Services were held at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Bernard P. "Pat" Dunnigan

Mr. Dunnigan, 78, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 19, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Eileen Dunnigan; four sons, Thomas Dunnigan of Palm Bay, Fla., and James Dunnigan, Michael Dunnigan, and John Dunnigan, all of Old Bridge; three daughters, Patricia Halas of Old Bridge, Kathleen Matthews of Farmingdale and Marianne Daskalovitz of Brick; a brother, William Dunnigan of Old Bridge; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Joseph E. Mulkerin Jr.

Mr. Mulkerin, 71, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 21, 2007, at home. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Mulkerin; a daughter, Eileen Borruso of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, and a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John Egan of the Morgan section of Sayreville; a brother, John Mulkerin of Metuchen; a sister, Maryann Merritt of Elizabeth; five stepchildren, Donna Allen of Pennsylvania, Debra McKenzie of Georgia, David Allen of New Jersey, and Eva Ramos and Connie Swingle, both of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Joan Murdison Foy

Mrs. Foy, 71, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 23, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are her husband, Richard J. Foy; a son, James Venuto, and his wife, Barbara, of Parlin; a daughter, Nancy Lynch, and her husband, Robert, of Randolph; and two granddaughters. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New Jersey, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083.

Stephen Nyers

Mr. Nyers, 91, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 16, 2007, in Rose Mountain Care Center, New Brunswick. His wife, Gertrude Matarangolo Nyers, died in 2000. Surviving are two sons, Stephen Nyers of New Brunswick and Brian Nyers of Millville; a daughter, Regina Rembert, and her husband, William, of Palm Coast, Fla.; a brother, Peter Nyers of North Brunswick; a sister, Betty Komlodi of Carteret; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and seven nephews. Graveside services were held at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
