Donors sought for Society Hill blood drive

The Blood Center of New Jersey will sponsor a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 10 in the Society Hill Clubhouse, 400 Thames Drive, Old Bridge.

All donors will receive a free cholesterol test. A free continental breakfast, cookies and treats, coffee, tea and juice will be served.

Donors must be at least 18 years of age; 17-year-olds need parental permission. Participants must present a driver's license or other photo identification and know their Social Security number. Individuals may donate blood every 56 days.

Church offers babka,

pierogi, blintz, chrusciki

St. Euphrosynia Belarusian Greek Orthodox Church, Whitehead Avenue, South River, is taking advance orders for its sixth annual Easter Bake Sale. Babka, pierogi, blintzes and chrusciki are available for purchase. Food pickup is scheduled for 3-7 p.m. on April 5 at the church. S.R. American Legion

schedules holiday dinner

American Legion Post No. 214 will sponsor its annual St. Patrick's Day/St. Joseph's Day Dinner from 2-6 p.m. on March 11 at the post home, 264 Whitehead Ave., South River.
