Thomas J. Frangipane
Mr. Frangipane, 78, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 15, 2007, in Victoria House, Matawan. He was predeceased by a son, Martin Frangipane. Surviving are his first wife, Concetta Diana of East Brunswick, and his second wife, Rose Lupo of Old Bridge; two daughters, Rosemary Hogen, and her husband, Alfred, and Dina Roventini, and her husband, Albert, all of Old Bridge; a sister, Nancy Filleppello of Chatham; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Clover Leaf Park, Woodbridge.
Elena V. Marrocco
Mrs. Marrocco, 86, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 23, 2007, in Bayside Manor Assisted Living, Keansburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Francesco. Surviving are a son, Mario, and his wife, Marie, of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Maria Louisa Martini, and her husband, Anthony, of Ontario, Canada, and Yvonne Caira, and her husband, Frank, and Pauline Barroqueiro, and her husband, Manuel, all of Old Bridge; a brother, Onario Catallo of Lyon, France; two sisters, Yolanda Giovannoni of Union and Suzanna Romano of Italy; a sister-in-law, Annuziata Pasquarelli of Belleville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holmdel Cemetery. Genevieve Slowiak Nadolski
Mrs. Nadolski, 84, of South River, died Feb. 14, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1987, she was a personnel director with Owen Illinois, Sayreville, and then with Continental Can Co., Milltown. Surviving are her husband, Frank; a son, Col. William Nadolski, U.S. Air Force, and his wife, Rocio, of Bonaire, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews, including James C. Praytor. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Mario "Chic" De Carolis
Mr. De Carolis, 81, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 9, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A music teacher and musician, he was employed as a music therapist at Skillman Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, North Princeton Developmental Center. He later worked with East Brunswick Public Schools, where he served as director of the high school concert band, marching band and jazz band until his retirement in 1987. Surviving are his wife, Theresa De Carolis; two daughters, Yvonne Amalina De Carolis of Plainsboro and Susan of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a son, Gary De Carolis of Burlington, Vt.; five stepchildren, Michael Trempe, and his wife, Anna, Maryanne Baggs and her husband, John, of Vermont, Carl Leech of Connecticut, Carline Weiss, and her husband, Robert, of Old Bridge, and Bill Trempe and his wife, Paulette, of Oregon; a sister, Olga Walsh of Elma, N.Y.; two brothers, Joe of Buffalo, N.Y., and John of Grand Island, N.Y.; three sisters-in-law; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.
James J. O'Shea III
Mr. O'Shea, 52, of Sayreville, formerly of Brick, died Feb. 22, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed for the past eight years as a truck driver with Southeastern Plastics, North Brunswick. Surviving are a son, James J. O'Shea IV of Old Bridge; three daughters, Christine Chasinoff, and her husband, Richard, of Brick, and Peggy O'Shea and Holly O'Shea, both of Allentown, Pa.; a sister, Mary Martin O'Shea of Sarasota, Fla.; a grandson; and a step-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
Barbara A. Kornacki
Ms. Kornacki, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 24, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are a brother, John Kornacki; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Gerald Lott; and a niece, Alison, and a nephew, Matthew. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy.
Lieselotte "Lilo" Emsinghoff McManus
Mrs. McManus, 83, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 20, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Walter George McManus, died in 1962. Surviving are two sons, Marcus of Parlin and Walter, and his wife, Sharon, of Yakima, Wash.; and two granddaughters, Angellica McManus and Amber McManus. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Cremation was private.
Lucille G. Giordano Menello
Mrs. Menello, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 24, 2007, in Victoria Health Care, Matawan. She was predeceased by her husband, Rocco Menello. Surviving are a son, Richard Menello of Old Bridge; and two brothers, Joseph Giordano of Arizona and Patrick Giordano of New York. A Mass was offered at St. Joseph's Church, Keyport. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
Raymond T. Deecken
Mr. Deecken, 67, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 13, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Willman Deecken; two sons, Raymond Deecken, and his wife, Bethany, of Sayreville, and Brian Deecken of Asbury Park; a daughter, Justine Rowe, and her husband, Richard, of Metuchen; a sister, Claire Kohler of Worcester, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Catherine Calantoni Bittay
Mrs. Bittay, 79, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 25, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she was employed as a food processor with Dak Foods, East Brunswick. She was predeceased in 2006 by her husband, John Bittay, and by a daughter, Diane Filep. Surviving are a son, John Bittay, and his wife, Linda, of San Jose, Calif.; three daughters, Cathy Torok and Cyndi Taylor, both of East Brunswick, and Joanne Mezger of Point Pleasant, two brothers, James Calantoni of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Mario Calantoni of Milltown; a sister, Rose Matwijcow of Perth Amboy; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offfered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
Carmella DiNardo Mazzella
Mrs. Mazzella, 71, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 7, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Her husband, Saverio Mazzella, died in 1999. Surviving are a nephew, William Fernandez, and his wife, Virginia, of East Brunswick; a great-nephew; and a great-niece. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Vincenza Gioia Reilly
Mrs. Reilly, 86, of Hazlet, died Feb. 27, 2007, at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Jersey City prior to relocating to Hazlet 57 years ago. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, James P. Reilly; four daughters, Rose Reilly of Illinois, Diane McKenna of Florida, Joanne Reilly of Keansburg, and June Jeglinski of Pennsylvania; two sons, Dennis Reilly of Union Beach, and John Reilly of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge; a brother, Anthony Gioia of Lyndhurst; a sister, Katherine Peck of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Ethel Jesse Adams
Mrs. Adams, 76, formerly of Middlesex County, died Feb. 26, 2007, in Wyalusing Valley Retirement and Personal Care Home, Wyalusing, Pa. Surviving are her husband, Louis L. Adams; three sons, Louis Linwood Adams III, and his wife, Michele, of Beachlake, Pa., Alfred N. Adams of St. Louis and Donald H. Adams of Towanda, Pa.; a brother, Norman S. Henry of Clinton; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Christ Church, Nativity Chapel, Towanda, Pa.
