'High School Musical' will open March 22

Old Bridge High School will present Disney's "High School Musical" at 7 p.m. on March 22, 23 and 24 in the main auditorium at the high school, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

The show, which is based on a Disney Channel original movie, will feature Daniel Zorovich as Troy, a high school jock and basketball star, Stephanie Barbarino as the brainy Gabriella, and a cast of more than 50 students, including 21 actors, 24 members of the chorus and seven dancers.

The musical tells the story of Troy and Gabriella, who meet while on vacation with their families and discover their love for singing and an interest in each other. After returning home from vacation, Troy learns that Gabriella is the new girl at East High School. Both Troy and Gabriella decide to audition for the school musical.
