Animal shelter plans St. Pat's open house

The Sayreville Pet Adoption Center, 1400 Main St., will hold a St. Patrick's Day Open House from 12:30-4 p.m. on March 17.

The first 50 adults to visit the shelter will receive a complimentary New Jersey State Lottery Instant Ticket to celebrate the "lucky" St. Patrick's Day holiday. Children will have a chance to choose a lucky "gold coin" from the Leprechaun's Pot of Gold. Complimentary refreshments, including Irish soda bread and "magic" green punch will be served.
