Fund-raisers
April 13
+ Adult Tricky Tray, sponsored by Our Lady of Victories Church, doors open at 5 p.m., event begins at 7:30 p.m., in the church's Monsignor Dalton Hall, Main Street, Sayreville. Open to individuals age 18 and above. Tickets, available in advance only for $8 each at the parish office, include admission, two sheets of prize tickets, coffee, tea, dessert. BYOB. April 14
+ Motorcycle Run, beginning at noon, at Bello's Sports Pub, Route 535, Parlin section of Sayreville. Rain date: April 15. Riders travel from Bello's to Hedger House, Route 563, Chatsworth, where live bands begin to entertain at 3 p.m.; vendors will offer merchandise. Bikers have the option of returning to Bello's for a free buffet. Donation for riders is $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the run; donation for passengers is $10. Riders receive a free T-shirt, entry to Hedger House. Admission to Hedger House is $15 for nonriders. All proceeds go to the Sayreville Association for Brain Injured Children. + Charity Ball Dinner-Dance, sponsored by Our Lady of Victory Knights of Columbus Council No. 2061, at the council home, Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville. Sit-down dinner, open bar, dancing to the music of a 12-piece band. Call Jack Myatt at (848) 228-0126.
April 15
+ Giant Garage Sale, sponsored by Sayreville Pet Adoption Center, 1400 Main St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the shelter's parking lot. Donations of items for the sale accepted at the shelter from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 13 and 14 only. Linens and shoes will not be accepted. Proceeds benefit the pets housed at the shelter. April 16
+ Harlem Wizards vs. Samsel Upper Elementary School (SUES) Teachers Basketball Game, sponsored by the SUES Character Education Program, 7-9 p.m., at Samsel School, Ernston Road, Sayreville. Tickets cost $5 for students, $8 for adults, in advance; $8 for students, $12 for adults, at the door; youngsters age 4 and under admitted free of charge.
