Saint Joseph High School will celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Brother Bernardine Memorial Golf Classic on Monday, May 21, at the Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township.

Ernie Feist of Monroe Township, a 1976 graduate of St. Joe's, is general chairman. Proceeds from this popular event will continue to benefit the students at St. Joe's by providing scholarships, need-based financial aid, program and extracurricular upgrades and technological improvements.

Competition for the Saint Joseph High School Governor's Cup will be featured, with play on the Banks course, a championship layout at Forsgate, limited to 30 foursomes. The Palmer course will continue to host the Golf Classic competition. The format will be a four-man scramble with handicaps, offering both gross and net prizes.

There are a number of sponsorship opportunities at many levels associated with the event, most of which include playing privileges in addition to other valuable benefits.

Participation in either competition includes the full complement of gifts, lunch, practice balls, golf with cart, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a sit-down dinner and prizes.

Both a silent and live auction will be conducted featuring both playing privileges at a variety of renowned New Jersey golf venues and coveted sports memorabilia. A raffle, offering a trip to Las Vegas, a golfing vacation in Maine, and a weekend bed and breakfast in South Jersey, is also available.

Again this year, the Event Program Journal will be formatted as a ready desk reference of services available through St. Joe's alumni and friends, and will be forwarded to alumni of St. Joe's residing in the central New Jersey area.

Alumni and friends wishing to support St. Joe's and enjoy a day of golf and camaraderie through the Brother Bernardine, SC Memorial Golf Classic are encouraged to contact Jerry Pawlowski, development director, at (732) 549-7600, ext. 228 or e-mail at development@stjoes.org.
