Thinks that Phillips should already know issues in O.B.

A friend of mine forwarded me an e-mail that he received from Mayor Jim Phillips. It looked like a survey from the mayor, having a picture of the mayor with the seal of Old Bridge in the background and an invite for people to reply with issues that concern them the most.

However, the e-mail address that one would reply to was the mayor's campaign committee. It seemed like a clever way for a politician to find issues as a base for the upcoming election. On the other hand, I also thought it somewhat odd that a standing mayor (after almost four years in office) didn't know the issues that concern the residents.

Mayor Phillips' e-mail was a clever attempt to deceive the residents of Old Bridge into thinking that he was working for them. My friend and I were not fooled by his political campaign e-mail.

If by now Mayor Phillips doesn't know the issues that concern the residents of Old Bridge, he never will.
