EARTH Center to host May 19 Plant Sale

The Rutgers Cooperative Extension Middlesex County EARTH Center will hold its first EARTH Center Plant Sale beginning at 9 a.m. on May 19 in Davidson's Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave., South Brunswick.

The sale is an opportunity for local gardeners to purchase starter plants raised by the county's Master Gardeners. Plant selection will include (but is not limited to) heirloom tomatoes, unusual varieties of perennials and annuals, flowering vines, ornamental grasses and dozens of types of vegetables. Guests may bring a wagon or small cart to transport their purchases. Call (732) 398-5262 to register or for more information. Columbiettes to host

Scramble on June 8

The Columbiettes of Immaculate Conception Knights of Columbus Council No. 4907 will sponsor a Scramble (Tricky Tray) beginning at 8 p.m. on June 8 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Crescent Avenue, Spotswood. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature refreshments and door prizes. Cost is $5 per person. Admission is open to adults only. For advance tickets, call Dot at (732) 257-7718. Patriotic Concert

next up at J'burg church

A Patriotic Concert is planned for 6 p.m. on May 19 at The Presbyterian Church of Jamesburg, West Church Street and Gatzmer Avenue. The event is part of the church's 2007 Concert Series. A June 2 Choir Festival will conclude the current series. Admission to all concerts is free of charge; however, a free-will offering will be accepted. All proceeds will be used to fund the church's concert series and music program. Call (732) 521-1711.

OLOL School to hold

May 20 open house

Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL) School, 44 Cleveland Ave., Milltown, will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 20. School tours will be offered. Registration packets for youngsters in prekindergarten-eighth grade will be available. Call (732) 828-1951.
