Senior Health Fair set for May 23 in O.B.

The Township of Old Bridge Office on Aging will hold its annual Senior Health Fair beginning at 10 a.m. on May 23 at the George Bush Center for Human Services, in the municipal complex, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

There will be an assortment of free screenings and information on health topics and issues of interest to seniors.

The following health care professionals have partnered with the township for the event: Saint Peter's Mobile Health Unit; Saint Peter's University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Woman's Imaging Center, both New Brunswick; Old Bridge Drugs; the Middlesex County Public Health Department; COPSA (Comprehensive Services on Aging) Behavioral Health; Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division; the Arthritis Foundation; the Middlesex County Department on Aging; and Kahn Chiropractic, Madison Center, Dr. Robert Scharfman, Dermatology Associates of Central Jersey, Total Hearing Care and Drs. Stramback and Nazzario, D.D.S., all Old Bridge.

In addition, the Old Bridge Office of Emergency Management will be on hand to collect names for its special-needs registry. The event is open to all township senior residents age 60 and above. For more information, call the Office on Aging at (732) 721-5600, ext. 6600.

Philomusica Choir to perform May 19, 20

Philomusica Choir, East Brunswick, will present "Rising Stars of 1707: Early Masterpieces of Bach & Händel" May 19 at 8 p.m. and May 20 at 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, North Brunswick.

The choir will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra and soloists Nadine Robinson and Annette Mulholland, sopranos; Abigail Wright, alto; Jeremy Blossey, tenor; and Charles Schneider, bass. Local choir members are Jessica Florek, Colonia section of Woodbridge; Annette Mulholland, North Brunswick; Ken Kohler, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; and Fran Nimeck, South Brunswick.
