Youngsters invited to June 9 fishing program

The Middlesex County Federation of Hunting and Fishing Clubs Inc., in cooperation with the state Division of Fish and Wildlife, will sponsor "Get Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs," a youth fishing derby set for 9 a.m. to noon on June 9 at Roosevelt Park Lake, Edison. Registration will take place from 7-9 a.m.

Middlesex County youngsters age 14 and under are invited to attend. Admission is free of charge.

Church seeks vendors

for June 9 garage sale

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3139 Route 516, Old Bridge, will host its annual Congregational Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 9. The event will take place rain or shine.

Clothing, handmade goods, crafts, "treasures," baked goods and more will be sold.

A live performance by the group Joshua's Trumpet is planned for 11 a.m.

Space rental is $10 per table for vendors and individuals who would like to offer their items for sale.

All proceeds will benefit the church signage fund.

Flea market set for

June 2 in Sayreville

The Sayreville Recreation Department will sponsor a Community Flea Market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 2 at the Borough Hall Soccer Fields, Main Street.
