'Patriotic' adoption event on tap at shelter

The Sayreville Pet Adoption Center will host a Paws and Stripes Forever Open House and Adoption Event 12:30-4 p.m. on June 23 at the shelter, 1400 Main St.

Complimentary red-and-blue frozen smoothies and other treats and goodies will be served. Each visitor will take home a free American flag and will be eligible to win a complete home American flag kit.
