Upset with officials' behavior at meeting

I am totally shocked at the events that unfolded on June 13. I attempted to hold a meeting with my neighbors regarding a contamination problem our neighborhood is experiencing. I have attended Sayreville Environmental Commission (SEC) meetings for the last six months and have been discussing things with them. I always followed their rules. I have supplied them with information and pictures regarding our problem. This information was turned over with the promise of getting it returned after copies were made. I never got any of it back.

Now I try to hold a meeting with my neighbors and the SEC goes absolutely crazy trying to intimidate me and the neighbors that I introduced them to. The day before the meeting, phone calls were received by myself and my neighbors. I was questioned on what was going on, why the meeting was being held, and if it was public. I found this very unusual and it upset my neighbors

My meeting came, and the Environmental Commission and some Borough Council people arrived right before the start of the meeting. They all marched in together and appeared upset. Well, they were nice enough to let me introduce the meeting. When I turned over it to my guest, they began shooting their mouths like an unruly mob, interrupting my speakers to the point that they were asked to leave, but refused. My guest speaker managed to overcome their unruly behavior and continued what he could. The unruliness did get so far out of control that a neighbor had to get up and leave because the SEC and council members were so out of control.

My friends who have been helping out did not get a fair shake, and the SEC and council members should be ashamed of themselves. I'm wondering now if the least they can do is get me back my pictures, since it appears I'm no longer welcome to assist their cause.
