Thanks go out to many for success of fundraiser

We are writing to thank all the neighbors, friends, relatives and strangers who came out to support our effort in raising money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which provides funds for childhood-cancer research.

We held our stand on June 9, served more than 300 glasses of lemonade and surpassed our goal of $1,000. Our children and the neighborhood children enjoyed and learned that giving to others can be fun.

We would also like to thank Mike at Rita's Italian Ice, Sayreville, for the use of his Alex's Lemonade stand. Thanks also go out to our neighbor Josie Ust for baking cookies and providing snacks to be sold.

Again, we want to say thank you to all for your donations.
