Gertrude Anne Epstein Lawson

Mrs. Lawson, 55, of South River, died June 10, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her parents, Israel Epstein, M.D., and Katharine Wheeler Epstein. Surviving are a son, James Lawson Jr., and his fiancée, Jennifer Malik, of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a daughter, Katharine Lawson, and her fiancé, Christopher Ferber, of South River; her children's father, James Lawson Sr. of Parlin; two stepdaughters, Mary Ryan, and her husband, Kevin, of South River, and Susan Lawson of Florida; two sisters, Marion Pinkus of New York City and Jacqueline Myers of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Cremation was private.

Edward McDonough

Mr. McDonough, 68, of the Melrose section of Sayreville, died June 18, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1997, he was an owner-operator of McDonough Trucking, Melrose. He was a truck driver for 40 years, working for Buck Brothers, East Brunswick, and Hess Brothers, Sayreville. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Olympia McDonough. Surviving are his wife, Mary Camelleri McDonough; a son, Edward, and his wife, Stacey, of Sayreville; two daughters, Eliza Doblosky, and her fiancé, Louis Glynn, of Old Bridge and Kathleen Dusebout, and her husband, Ken, of Denville; a sister, Gloria McDonough of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Private cremation followed.

Rudolph D. Nuzzo

Mr. Nuzzo, 58, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of Middletown, died June 11, 2007, at home. He was predeceased by his father, Rudolph D. Nuzzo Sr. Surviving are his wife, Camille Gaito Nuzzo; three children, Julia, Anthony and Dana Nuzzo, all at home; his mother, Mildred Nuzzo of Long Island, N.Y.; and two brothers, Robert Nuzzo of Sayreville and Ronald Nuzzo of Long Island. A service was held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, South River. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Alvina L. Thompson

Mrs. Thompson, 96, of South River, died June 6, 2007, at home. Her husband, Charles Thompson, died in 1980. Surviving are a son, Douglas Thompson, and his wife, Carol, of Millstone; a daughter, Eileen Barton, and her husband, Neal, of Sayreville; two brothers, James Thoms of Beachwood and Russell Thoms of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 552 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Betty Ann McGuire

Ms. McGuire, 49, of Old Bridge, died June 2, 2007, at home. She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Michael and Thomas McGuire Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Desaree Oriani of Old Bridge; her mother, Elizabeth Day of Old Bridge; two brothers, Raymond McGuire of Sante Fe, Texas, and Richard McGuire of Shannon, N.C.; and three sisters, Eileen McGuire and Theresa McGuire, both of Old Bridge, and Carol Kowalik of Rahway. Arrangements were by the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.

Anthony F. Argento Jr.

Mr. Argento, 49, of Keansburg, formerly of Old Bridge, died June 9, 2007, at home. Surviving are two sons, Tony and Christopher Argento of Bayonne; two daughters, Amanda and Melissa Argento, also of Bayonne; his parents, Ellen I. and Anthony Argento Sr. of Sayreville; three sisters, Terry Vidal of Old Bridge, Laurie Soluri, and her husband, Anthony, of Sayreville, and Linda Argento of Old Bridge; his girlfriend, Debbie Vasta, and her two daughters; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Veronica White Rausch

Mrs. Rausch, 88, of Hazlet, formerly of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died June 8, 2007, in Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Her husband, Albert, died in 1990. She also was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Barbara, and by a great-granddaughter. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Marc O'Steen of Cliffwood Beach; a son, Leonard of Guttenberg; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

Cheryl Ann Kuns

Mrs. Kuns, 43, of Old Bridge, died June 13, 2007, at home. She was employed as a cashier at Marshalls, Sayreville. Surviving are her husband, Jay; a son, Erik, at home, and a daughter, Kristen Cortez of Rochelle Park; her parents, Robert and Cecelia Daley of Montvale; a brother, Michael Daley of Palisades Park; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.

Marilyn Grace Farrell

Mrs. Farrell, 66, of Pine Hill, died June 2, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa. She resided in Old Bridge prior to relocating to Pine Hill in 1996. She had been a licensed practical nurse at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital before it closed, and Ancora State Hospital the past 11 years. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David E. Farrell; a son, Kevin Farrell of Old Bridge; two daughters and one son-in-law, Theresa and Donald MacDowell of Woodstock, Va., and Janine Foster of Middletown; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Charlene Hamilton of Newark, Del.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara and Robert Romano of Rockville, Md., and Pat and Bill Lipkea of New Hartford, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Interment took place at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Wolowitz Sr.

Mr. Wolowitz, 82, of Old Bridge, died June 12, 2007, in Old Bridge Manor. His first wife, Catherine Wolowitz, died in 1990. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Wolowitz; four sons, Robert Wolowitz Jr. of Brick, Kenneth Wolowitz of Jackson, James Wolowitz of North Arlington and Thomas Wolowitz of Delaware; a stepdaughter, Rosemarie Bell of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; and 11 grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.

Joseph T. Simoniello

Mr. Simoniello, 62, of Hazlet, died June 12, 2007, at home. Surviving are his wife, Rosalie Auriemma Simoniello; a son, Paul Simoniello of Holmdel; a daughter, Denise Aquinas of Colts Neck; a stepdaughter, Sharon Roberts of Keyport; two stepsons, William Swartz of the Parlin section of Sayreville and James Swartz IV of Old Bridge; and 13 grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Keyport. Entombment was in Holmdel Mausoleum.
